More thoughts when I watched the subed versions.

I thought that was great bitter sweet ending, a lot of cool stuff going on. I guess the only issue is that at the end a good number of the themes weren't firmly addressed in the ending, but I can get over that.(I have feeling this will continue in some form, it will be answered there I say. )

Just watched episode 3... does anyone know the name of the violin music from the first few minutes? I think I heard it before somewhere......

FINALLY WATCHED 11 AND 12 LAST NIGHT
Dear Fumi that ending, that my friends is how you end an anime series ;___;

Seriously, this is high on my list of Favorite anime...... its such a wonderful story...and the ending is so tear jerking... ;___________;

I finished the series tonight with judamacaby (who watched it when it came out). I knew from the beginning when someone...lost their head, that it'd be quite a different series (as I'm not too terribly fond of magical girl series in general), and I was right. Definitely very glad I watched and it certainly ranks up there with my favorites.

I tried my hand at a drabble for it tonight, of which the basics idea for had been in my head since episode 10. I may write more in the future as well. It was kinda fun trying something new.

Out of curiosity, has anyone else done fanwork for the series? There's certainly a lot out there for nearly anything.

Oh, well, to the ending (I am a little bit late, I know : P): I am a little bit twisted. I am not THIS satisfied with the ending, but I really can't tell why ([i]fail me[/ig]). It's a pretty bittersweet ending. No happy ending and no bad ending. It's something in between. Madoka will be lost / live forever in the space. Kinda sucks, no?? Through all time taking care that the Mahou Shoujos don't turn into witches. So taking care that the girls don't have to suffer and the world is somehow okay. BUT n o w we have demons?? That's not really better :< (yes, yes, except the part that the girls just disapear and don't turn into bad, bad witches). Always a balance, huh?? Whatever I am trying to say here *drop*
Oh, but I am happy that Homura didn't die ~^~

I cried too bad when I watched how Madoka's brother drew a Madoka into the sand. That was so cuuuuuute and sad ;_; <3
And I laughed too hard because of the last Kyuubey-scene.

Aww nice! I have done two drabbles so far for the series...I did one last night focusing on Mami and I think I'd like to explore more with her. She's nao my favorite, but Homura is close behind...I didn't really care for Homura all that much until after episode 10 XD

I love that drawing Kino, top notch in my opinion.

I was very impressed with this anime and how it breaks away from stereotypes associated with this genre. The anime itself even impressed me by making me relate to all the magical girls, even Madoka. Homura is amazing and I have to say that Madoka will not be forgotten.

Judamacaby planted the seeds that got me to ship Kyouko/Mami in the alternate timelines (heck I'd probably go for post-series too). I mean, I suppose the implied couples. Maybe I like the pairing cause I hate how Mami ends up alone and I do enjoy Kyouko...

Also, I definitely am a Kyouko/Mami shipper (if that wasn't clear before). I have too much fun writing these two together. I recently got involved in an art trade. My chibi self was updated and in return I was asked to do a fic involving Homura and Mami. Not necessarily relationship, but just something with those two.

Probably not other than quality. I will be making a FLAC copy sometime tomorrow if anyone is interested.

I finally gave the OST a proper listen to last night. It's amazing, and that's from someone who's not typically a soundtrack person. I had Mami's theme on repeat last night while I was finishing up a blog post for school XD

I LOVE Mami. She's a wonderful character. I also act a lot like Kyoko. I think of her every time I eat food.
