Yes, anyone with spare time drop what your doing and marathon the six episodes out so far. It's the absolute best of the season with Level E.

I didn't know I could hate Kyubey even more as I already did. I am impressed.

I like how straightforward he is but at the same time, it makes me question what type of morality he has if any.

Right. I got the feeling he's only interested in making as many contracts as possible.

So with Dream Eater Merry being licensed I'm hoping Madoka will be up for licensing soon.(I will be very angry if Freezing get licensed and Madoka doesn't get one at all).

O-K, THAT'S IT!!! I've had people on YouTube, Amazon AND deviantART recommending me this series. I'm watching the first episode when I return. >_>

Okay I'm back. I'm not blown away by this series like you guys are, but I have to admit it's really good. Madoka Magica is a decent watch for a variety of reasons, where should I even begin? ^^; First things first, it breaks away from the stereotypical magical girl shoujo series. The music, both the opening and closing are first rate, as I've learned from fellow MM members. Yuki Kajiura FTW!

It's too early to go in depth with characters, so I'll just go ahead and show you the greatest strength of this series (stronger than the music?! YES):

The art. Yes, the art. From what I can tell, it can be considered a character too. It tells the story, the difference between the magical world and 3D-land (aka, reality) and the sequences look so damn beautiful. I also get the feeling (from the images) that this series doesn't know what it's trying to be and it's doing it on purpose. :)

It has the tools to be a legend, I'm just not feeling the overall story so far. We shall see...

I was blown by the first episode but then again I already picked up on where the series was going pretty quickly. It just gets better and better Luu. :)

Yeah, it's not a deep series by any means. It's action sequences and visuals are phenomenal, very important elements in a mahou shoujo series. I've seen too many copy/paste titles in the last year, so you can imagine my satisfaction.

IT IS a deep series, don't judge before you haven't watched the other epis, Luu ö.ö

And you should know that both Flower and me have watched lots of animes, so we aren't satisfied so easily, too. Right, Flower??

Yeah trust me Luu, these characters have a surprising amount of character development/background. I would say this series has more development in the first three episodes than your typical 12-13 episode anime(even some 24-26 seasons). Just remember the rule of don't cover judge an anime by it's initial look. Take Princess Tutu, another magical girl anime. The name of the series and the the title pictures may look corny but when you watch it, it's actually a very good series with memorable characters, comedy, fight scenes, character development. It's one of the best in the genre(which Madoka is quickly making it's way up in the rankings).

I've only picked up on anime just about five months ago but I watching a lot non stop since then and like Kino say, it takes a lot for a series to blow me away in just about every aspect like Madoka has taste aside.

The new episode is the best so far, doing my best to type here calmly. It's almost legendary, almost legendary!

SPOILERS of course.

I actually don't know what about this epi was almost legendary o.o
I was pretty sure that Sayaka would become what she became nao. I knew that there is something up with Homura. And after the last epi I knew, too, that Kyubey is really evil, so something like that wasn't this unexpected, too.

Well, I have to admit that I really loved two of the Homura scenes.

I am just still wondering, if Madoka WILL become a Mahou Shoujo (and only this), or not, but I am wondering about this fact since too many epis already. IF she does, I am pretty sure how it will end...

Oh, and after Homura killed Kyubey (again), I thought "Thank you". It's really too bad that he has so many bodies D:

Sorry, I was typing while I was still on my nerd hype. I just thought the new episode was the completely awesome, every episode have been fantastic but I was blown away last night.

Yeah I really loved the Homura scenes, it made me love her character even more. I got a good feeling I know what your getting at with Madoka.

Don't be sorry about it. I just have a different opinion.

I think it will end with Homura saving Madoka, but dying by doing so.

SPOILER ALERT, DO NOT READ IF YOU PLAN TO WATCH!




Episode ten, was perfect for me in many way. I was caught off guard by how Homura originally was in the first time line. Damn, nervous, shy, an she was even the hospital for awhile before coming back to school. From that sort of character I would never expect such great development. It's dramatically different from the athletic ability and almost apathetic expression she has in every scene we had seen before this. It was fun but also heart wrenching to see Homura's character go through her changes because all these changes did not result from a happy montage, rather the tragic effect of all the time lines thus far.

It was fun and almost surreal to actually see Madoka as a magic girl even in the previous time lines. It's astounding, the status of being a magical girl must have gave Madoka a massive confident boost. It's much different from the somewhat intelligent but wavering Madoka we see in the current time line.

It's nice to finally get an understanding of what type of relationship Madoka and Homura had in previous time lines, which at worst, was an incredibly strong friendship. These two cared for each other a great deal, hell Madoka even shot Mami from shooting Homura's soul gem and I couldn't see Madoka reacting that quickly unless it was for someone she really cared fo to shoot essentially her first comrade and mentor of some sort. I wanted to cry when Homura shot Madoka's soul gem to prevent Madoka from becoming a witch in the third timeline, it's terribly depressing, and on a slight comical note, I wanted to see them both wreck havok as witches. ()

Episode ten was chalked full of great moments, it's hard to really pick highlights. Watching Madoka and Mami save Homura from the witch. That initial training thing with Homura and the school girl witch. Seeing Madoka getting excited for Homura beating her first witch. The chaotic soul gem shooting scene. When both Homura and Madoka are lying side by side. Homura raiding that locker of guns. I could keep going on and on. :)

In short, episode ten is was one of the best episodes in the series, and this possibly by favorite flashback type of episode/scene in any media form.

Yeah, that's a good possibility but I don't know for me the ending is up in the air, I'm not sure what I should try to predict.

It's going to suck waiting until the end of April but I have feeling this series is going to off with a bang and waiting won't be for naught.(I'm praying it does since a lot of the endings for this season has been rather lack luster).

Yepp, it sucks a lot, but we can't change it. But hey, we know that they try to get the new ep up in the end of April, isn't this something?? It's better than having no date at all.
