Favorite Anime/Manga titles?

Maybe I just can't remember XD Maybe it was an OVA *shrug*

I was really into Negima when it first came out.... looonng time ago, think I was in my first senior year of college XD There got to be too much of it for me though for it to be interesting. Anime ADD for the win XD

When I first discovered Negima, the first thing that came to mind:

"Harry Potter meets Love Hina?!"

Not that I was into Harry Potter, but knowing Ken Akamatsu was behind the series was enough to give it a try. At first I loved Negima, it was funny and really cute. Over time it just descended to non-stop, very boring, uninspired, shonen battles. So when the first anime series came out, I was worried it would end up losing steam fast. Surprisingly, the first anime is actually pretty good. The animation was bland though, I agree with the fanbase. They fixed this in the second series Negima!? which hates horribly. I heard it was like Gainax with End of Evangelion, they intentionally made Negima!? extra strange as a big FUCKK YOU to the fans who hated the first Negima anime. I don't know if this is true.

my favorite animes so far are definately Inu-Yasha and Final Fantasy... Inu-Yasha because... well it was one of the first animes i saw(on adultswim). Final Fantasy because i love the characters and the storyline. I began to love Final Fantasy when Alex(RedEyedWolf) showed me a few videos i'd never seen before.

Some would say Final Fantasy isn't anime (well, FF Unlimited is an anime...), but I do. It's a video game anime.

I was seriously in Hellsing manga when Hirano-sama was still working on it, though the closer to an end it got - the more disappointed I became. After that I just happen to see Claymore and fell in love with Teresa of the Faint Smile <3

I just wanna mention that all Mai-series fans tend to be Claymore fans as well. Why is that? :scratch:

Hmn. Fantasy-world, thoughtful choice of characters and their backgrounds, beautiful drawing. Magnificent women that are skillfully using two-handled swords to slash to pieces some ugly demons ... a-a-and absence of men. Well, almost ^_^
For me it was more like: "Whoaahh... Fantasy. Ouch! Blood! :twisted: Yeaah... Women.."

Accurate theory there. I think it has mostly to do with the women. :D Then you switch over to Shonen anime where the females take a backseat and they're so weak. Then the yaoi-ness begins. *shivers*

Returning to "Claymore", I'm very much into manga right now. Though anime is a good one, nice graphic, great seiyu (Paku Romi is love!), but...

Claymore is a beautifully animated series, I'm told by various people to stick with the manga to avoid the anime's bad ending. I'll watch it eventually, if I can survive Venus Versus Viruses' suck ending, I can handle Claymore's. I refuse to read that spoiler btw, I'm not very far in the manga. >_<

It seems when I return home, buddy will force me to watch Black Cat anime (and play WoW after that. I don't like his strange gleam at eyes :suspect: )

I've seen Claymore but I was not really impressed. The story was ok, but the only character I cared for was Teresa. I pretty much hated everyone else.
Then, it's the genre that's not my piece of cake, as I'm definitely more of a sci-fi fan than a fantasy one.

My favorite series remains Gundam, in almost all of its incarnations except Gundam Wing, that I can't truly stand :|

I admit Galatea and Irene were also interesting characters to follow, but unfortunately Clare and Raki weren't for me, so every episode was quite painful to watch considering they were the main characters

The series was great, sub or dub.(I loved the sub but I'm glad that the dub wasn't crappy either). Yeah, that was a very depressing(Hansel and Gretel), the song they choose to end the episode on added to my feelings.

Not sure, are you talking about Roberta's Trail Kino? Two parts of that has been released, they've been put on anime subs.

I'm among those who like the Mai-series but don't like Claymore XD
I think that Claymore is too fantasy oriented for my liking but then "de gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum" :D

Hmm my favourite anime (except Mai-HiME of course) would be:
Clannad (I've a preference for the "after story" one) and Kaichou wa maid-sama
