Need more HaruKino love!

(( Let me first comment on the characters of Haruka Suzushiro and her Mai-Otome incarnation, Haruka Armitage. To me, they're two of the best characters in the Mai-Series. She was more of a comedian in Mai-Otome with her over-the-top antics, so I lead towards Suzushiro more. Mainly for all the reasons you've listed, she's a fearless person who stands up for what she believes in. Protecting the students, including her own dear Yukino, is top priority. Though I admire Shizuru Fujino, her integrity pales in comparison to Haruka's.

Yukino Kikukawa thinks very fondly of Haruka on a daily basis, ever since they were little girls. To go from chasing mean boys away to protecting her from Shizuru's wrath (even when she's fading away into green sparkles!), Haruka would give anything just to see Yukino safe and happy. While a lesbian relationship wasn't apparent during the series, it's obvious where their bond may lead in the future.

(( X3 Haruka's assertiveness is everywhere except the bedroom. Canon-wise, if these two had their first time together, sexually, I think Yukino would be the one making the first move. Only because such activities would be awkward for Haruka personally, as she's always been kinda against perviness. That is, until Yukino makes her come, then it will make her become more accepting towards love making in more ways than one. :3 Oh and why would Yukino make the first move? Simple, she LOVES Haruka. Having Haruka in such a position, her emotions would get the best of her. Speaking from experiences here, uke girls are more wild in bed than one thinks. I'm re-watching My-HiME subbed atm. Gotta say I like the dub better so far. Plus I've watched the ShizNat sceans already but that's for another area.

Haruka and Yukino are so adorable! I think the sub Yukino voice is to monotone? At least atm.

I feel that there's SO MUCH MORE they could've done. Like the day of the school festival when Haruka was monitoring the haunted house (and Yukino was a ghost) was adorable, but could've been played off a bit more. Also, in the pantie-stealing Orphans episode I think Haruka and Yukino should've had more screen time together.

I love the performances by Lori Barnes-Smith and Morgan Partridge, if Mai-HiME is ever redubbed for whatever reason, bring them back!



^ As you know, our channels provide English/Japanese comparison clips, to see which fans like better. Most prefer the Japanese Original obviously. XD The panty-stealing Orphan episode focused mostly on Natsuki for obvious reason, although it was an episode where Haruka spent her time tracking this thing down. The reason they cut her screentime short is because SUNRISE wants her to be completely oblivious to the Orphan/HiME activities. Then there's Yukino remaining a complete mystery at the time, so there was only so much HaruKino could do in the early going sadly. ;_;

LOL The Elimination Game results was a sad day for Haruka and Yukino fans, but not all the way. Remember that it was a total landslide. Elsewhere, HaruKino wouldn't of gotten ANY votes. We have an open-minded group of fans here, so in many ways, you did accomplish something Miss Fanwhore. ;p

HaruKino is more special to me because Yukino's admiration for Haruka is adorable. She's admired her best friend ever since they were little girls, it's a love that built itself up for many years. Yukino probably did a lot of soul searching over the years realizing she was gay and had feelings for her best friend. In return, Haruka protected Yukino since they were in diapers and always felt close to her. The world doesn't seem to respond to Haruka (SUNRISE made it seem that way), so who else would love her romantically in the HiME world? None other than the uke with the glasses and vanishing freckles.
