Re: yaoi haters/lovers
Damn, am I late.
Before this goes into the burner, I gotta say my piece first xD
I am totally fine with Yaoi. Not that I love it no, it squicks me out sometimes when it's close to the Bara genre (Sekaichi Hatsukoi I can't handle omg) but if it's soft and has nice art/story, I'm perfectly fine with it.
Example; I'm a big fan of Togainu No Chi (hardcore yaoiscrewdriversexftw) and Kyou Kara Maou-- but I still like Yuri much much more.
I think I've been fine with same-sex relationship ever since I was a kid-- because I can remember being that innocent ten year old who had a heavy crush on one of her very female classmate-- and was totally fine with it xD It did take a few years for me to get an understanding of it though. And for some people Shiki's age it might be hard to swallow, with what you've been taught by your family and all that-- but like what the others had said, give it a few more years and hopefully you'll learn to accept it. You'll learn to see that when it comes to love, there's nothing you can do about it. It simply transcends gender.
I come from a family with a strong religious belief as well, but my sister and I grew up open minded about things like this and I'm forever grateful that I have her on my side, she's totally cool about me being bi and she's the one who converted me partially to yaoism xD
Anyway-- all in all--everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But just because you don't like it, doesn't mean you can bash on it. Choose your words very very carefully young one, especially with this topic, you don't want to be in trouble right?
Keep yo' tits calm and everything is a-okay.
Peace out, yo
--
And about the Otome anime...I don't understand what you mean, but if you don't want to see yaoi/yuri even the subtlest bit-- you can always watch shoujo :3
Bokura ga ita, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and lots other.
They're heterosexual enough for people to handle.

and one liiitle off topic thing,
Shiki, that nanoha signature you have-- I happen to know the creator very well and it was made for someone else. I sure do hope you asked for permission before using that.

Re: yaoi haters/lovers
o_o; Never knew heterosexual anime was referred to as "Otome". Before we all give you some suggestions, can you answer Deppy's question? Did you get permission to use that Nanoha signature? She claims it was made for someone else.shikiryougi wrote:by otome, I mean girlxboy animes
Re: yaoi haters/lovers
Well, it's because that genre doesn't exist. :'3
And also, the very term OTOME in japanese wouldn't describe that type of series at all... :''''3
And, well, it really depends what shiki is looking in anime. There are plenty of hetero anime titles, but of course you can find drama, comedy, romance, harem series, etc...so it would be good to be a bit more specific...
