Veronica Taylor would be a much better choice, yes. Mashiro is monotone but still has that child-like sweetness to her voice. Perfect for Taylor to deliver those calm moments with Fumi. Or the over-the-top childish whining if she worked on Mai-Otome.

Ah, Tiffany Grant. Altena. Asuka. Jun Morimura. A various other 5 star roles she's done in the past. Perfect for Haruka's assertive and brute personality, I couldn't agree more.

For Luci Christian as Fumi it's a great choice for HiME saga. Do you think after her maid life Fumi becomes a hit women. Because we do not know who she is.................only Midori knows a little.

She would need to sound a little younger / higher pitched, but it could work.

It would be kind of weird for Akane to be constantly moaning like she's having sex with air, though.

Mai Otome Sub/Dub Comparisons 4: Miss Maria is young again!?



One of the most epic scenes from the Mai-Otome series and it was over in the blink of an eye. Miss Maria now MATERIALIZED, has become young and several times stronger. Blue Sky Arika and the others were left speechless.

The Japanese original reigns supreme once again, I kinda blame that on Cheryl's Natsuki. Listen closely, she kinda botched the whole meaning of the sequence. When Saeko's Natsuki sees Maria's ownage unfold, she responds in a more surprised tone. Cheryl's tone reaction was more like "you gotta be kidding me" with her slight laughter. More power to Barb Mitchell, who voices Maria Graceburt just as good as Youko-sama.

I would take Strong as Akira definitely a good choice from fairweather tastes. Luci is a perfect fit for Fumi Himeno because of her radiant nice voice and positives around her even she's good at being dramatic character. But you forgot one thing added, Hilary Haag who some said the best in making good childish voices, I would choose her for Alyssa Searrs in reality it's a possibility that she can be a franchise role the Mai-series just like Mai and Midori.

Haha, it's just that Tara could voice everything from the girliest girls (Melody from Little Mermaid II for example) to the dark emo slit-my-wrists types (like Raven from Teen Titans). Tara Strong has amazing range, perfect for Akira.
