Better order Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome/Zwei/Sifr. while you can: Bandai Entertainment to Discontinue Home Video, Manga, Novel Sales
---
Bandai Entertainment, the subsidiary of Namco Bandai Holdings (USA) that handles anime and manga in North America, announced on Friday that the company will discontinue sales of its Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, manga, and novels. The company noted that it will make its final shipment of manga and novels to retailers by the end of October. Additionally, the company will make its final shipment of home video products to wholesale customers on November 30.
Bandai Entertainment had announced in January that it would stop offering new DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and manga releases in February. Since February, the company had continued to produce and distribute its existing catalog lineup, but it no longer produced and distributed new releases.
Bandai Entertainment had closed its own online store last December.
Update: The Robert's Corner Anime Store retailer noted in its weekly newsletter on Friday that Bandai Entertainment contacted the retailer to announce that it will be "discontinuing its home video publishing and distribution business effective March 1, 2013." Bandai Entertainment also added that the last day it will accept purchase orders is November 15.

All Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome releases will soon become collector's items. More so than they were before. Hopefully another company will pick up on the Mai-Series, even if they leave Bandai Entertainment's work untouched. I'd love to see the Mai-Series in brand new packaging someday for the newer generation.

They are attempting to murder Mai-Series ?!
How could they even try ?!
Long live to Mai-Series !
Well, I'm not really impacted, but who cares ?

Haha, as long as I'm around, Mai-Series will never die. Even Bandai Entertainment's legacy of it's English dub will live on through me. 8)

This is rather dissappointing should I get the blu-ray version of My-Hime just to be on the safe side already got one legit and one bootleg copy of the entire series just on the fence about getting it in blu-ray.
Also I assume this means no english EXA?

The blu-ray set is quite essential for Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome, I say go for either one.
Mai-HiME EXA official English translated manga? Pfft, I wish. I'm already working on getting Destiny translated officially. One at a time. :)

Haha, after my recent overseas trip and purchasing Resident Evil 6 and DOA 5, I don't want to think about a blu ray set for Mai-HiME or Mai-Otome yet.

:) Not true, Ruby. I can still salvage all of the older merchandise. Tell me, what's the one Mai-Series merch you've always wanted?
