What's your Ethnic Background?

Eh, Im british...but my family can be traced back to France. We came over during the Battle of Hastings. But I also have irish blood in me (and apparantly its fairly obvious.) according to friends and family, I have a slightly Irish accent (WOOT) I can hold my alcohol quite well for someone my size, and I am quite violent (apparantly a common trait in irish peoples)

I'm Italian, from the north part of the country. My family has always lived here, though I have some Austrian blood, from my father side.

Oh well, now you can have pizza and pasta almost everywhere. I had my best dish of pasta in San Diego and a delicious pizza in Japan :D
The only thing good enough I can't find abroad is espresso. That of Starbucks is ok, though ^^

I am a mix of swedish, welsh, english, "Aztec" (what my dad claims), and spanish. I was not raised with any of the hispanic traditions other than the food and since I look totaly white I have a hard time getting people to belive my last name is really Garcia. Other than the dark hair I look like my mothers side of the family which are all blonde

From what I know, My poppy (grandpa on my mom's side) was a Italian, mixed with a bit of German, my nanny (grandma on my mom's side) was Italian and Irish and German. And on my Dad's side, my grandma is Austrian and I have no idea about my grandpa on my dad's side.

My dad is Dutch.. My mum is Dutch, my whole family is like.. Dutch. My grandad had to work for the german people during the worldwar, but he fleed. He worked at some farm for food and a place to sleep. One day German people came and they asked the man who was caring for my granddad who my grandad was. He told them he was his sun and they belueved him. If they didn't, I wouldn't be here nao. That was some useless information bout my granddad. ^^

My moms side of the family is Italian, and my dads side of the family is.... well... we don't exactly know, we just know that hes Jewish. So I'm Italian and some kind of Jewish

Well both my parents are Irish but my Dads surname is Scottish and his side of the family has been traced back to the 13th Century where one of my ancestors battled alongside William Wallace (Mel Gibson, Braceheart).

That's very cool, Acid! I actually did a report on Sir William Wallace in High School! Plus I love the Braveheart movie, Mel's best work aside from The Passion (though acting and directing are different).

Right, lets see; pfft. I'm a mix of a little of everything really, although nothing from out of Europe.

Most of my blood is English, although I did have a greatx4 grandmother who originated from the Netherlands. There is also a rumour that I'm either Scottish or Irish, considering my granddad remembers seeing a tall man when he was young in the family-ginger hair, beard, even the kilt. But above all else, thats the only information we know of that side. (My granddad has a distinct Spanish/Arab look about him, tans so easily as well).

Then there is the other rumour of the Arab who married into the family at some point. There is a lot of things which need sorting out though-considering we know barely anything about these people. Hm... historical bloodline - Celtic, so its probable my ancestors were interbred with the Romans and such, pfft. Anyhow.

I find it hilarious, since I get lightheaded from half a pint of CIDER, I never tan, nor can I stand the cold. So I guess my genes abandoned me. >_>

Oh! But I do have family in Australia, one of them, my great uncle came over a few years ago actually, although that was the last time I saw him. He did say it would probably be the last time anyhow since he was already about 60 at the time.

And so, I guess I am the: English tea drinking maniac who never tans, gets drunk instantaneously whilst wearing clogs and a kilt from the lands of Africa? That sounds... PFFFT.

Well, I was born and raised in beautiful, sunny, tropical Jamaica! So I'm a full-fledged Jamaican =3

I can speak Jamaican fluently, but I am told that I sound British. That may come from the fact that I went to a school that encouraged all its students to speak 'proper' British English, since Jamaica was once a British colony. It may also come from the fact that relatives on my father's side of the family are British and live in England ^^

Basically, I'm an 1/8th English, the rest being Maltese. The thing is though, my family moved to England when I was 2, so I identify as English.

Maternal - Maltese
Paternal - English, Maltese, Irish, Scottish

I have a feeling, if I look far back enough I'll probably find some Turkish, Greek and Italian blood in me.
Turkish because they kept trying (keyword is trying XP) to takeover Malta in the 900's (I think) so practically everyone in Malta has an ancestor that a Turk soldier did a bit of this and that to.
Greek because my surname (Grech) means descendant of Greek nobility. I like to think that somewhere down the line, I'm related to some sort of Greek knight or philosopher.
Italian because Malta is so close to Italy, someone in my family must have made it with an Italian...
