Mai-X-Project Act I: Zero Hour Part 2 [Complete]

"What's this?!" Kagura scowled, trying to make sense of what she had just witnessed. Fiona's ability to wave off small injuries wasn't going to cut it. The Wind Witch had to wait for the opportunity to strike hard.

"There's something off about this woman, she needed-"

It was too late, Fiona's power had grown too strong. What was causing this? The Wind Witch found herself unable to move as flashes of unpleasant memories from the Feudal era swirled through her mind. They were on and off, but enough to send Kagura in a state of panic. Her attempts to close her ruby jewels fail; she was in some sort of mind control or illusion.

"We....are...both prisoners....Fiona...."

Slowly but surely, the Wind Witch found it too difficult to fight the cross between reality and illusion. "I cannot.....fail.....knowing I'll be returned to him. Arika is who I fear most, you must feel the same way. But, she's not who I'm concerned with. It's what she plans to do if I fail. Returning my life to Naraku, a demon from my world who holds my......my......"

Kagura attempted to resist telling Fiona such vital information. "While Fiona herself isn't in possession of the heart, giving me an unfair advantage, the once elderly witch before me could place me into a trance. A waking nightmare if I don't fight back, but I cannot..."

"...my heart."

“There it is…..”Fiona smiled as she got through to Kagura. She finally figured out what made her opponent click and knew what to do next.

Mumbling to herself, Fiona stepped in a lot closer to Kagura’s ear. “I’m going to turn your brain into scrambled eggs and spin it around with a fork.”

Stepping back to see Kagura in full figure she gave in to her sentiments. “I feel sorry for you, Witchy. You were trapped in a moment that you had no control over. Being afraid of someone that physically holds your heart would be tiring.” Fiona turned around but still kept her eyes locked on the woman. Almost like a model turning on stage to represent a new formal gown.

She turned around sharply and extended her arm up to her once again. “"You bother to worry about a comrade during a time like this? Your unfailing stupidity never ceases to amaze me." Fiona’s voice started changing in and out of tones. Sort of like a radio frequency trying to pick up another station. Her hair fell over her eyes, stuck by darkness.

"Try as you might, your efforts are in vain. I shall never die!!" Fiona’s voice turned from a female voice to a dark and supernatural one….a male voice. One that was so powerful that Fiona herself took a step back. There was so much hatred being delivered with just those two lines that Fiona was getting lost in herself. The presence that she was summoning was almost possessing her. The area around them turned to total darkness. The other villains were having trouble seeing as well. Nothing was around. No buildings, trees or any undead farmers. It seemed as though that Fiona took them into another dimension, in space perhaps. Little glowing stars started forming around Kagura, galaxies and comets flying about. Meteorites hitting distant plants with a crashing boom sound. The universe was being under attacked by violence and hatred. Then all at once, the area turned black again.

The outline of Fiona appeared and started to take shape into something else, a figure with an outline of a baboon?

"Foolish creature... you never realized that you were being consumed from within..." The figure said in a haunting voice. “Try as you might, you will never be free of my, Kagura. I hold your very own freedom in the palm of my hand. I can crush it like a grape.”

The figure was starting to grow closer but you couldn’t see the direct shape at all. “Kagura………Kagura……….The only person you have to fear..is me.”

Shrouded in a void of nothingness, Kagura had nothing left to defend herself with. She was completely vulnerable to the dark aura. While she become enclosed in this trap, Galaxia faded away from her throne for a moment. Arika just smiled, allowing this to happen as long as the eager Queen didn't get her involved in the clash.

Appearing inside the void where a paralyzed Kagura awaited her fate, Galaxia shook her head in disapproval. Though not an ally by any means, she felt the need to examine things up close. None of the other villains could peer inside due to their limitations and Arika's camera only caught what was apparent outside. Kagura collapsing to her knees.

"This is a cheap illusion, Sorceress. Some of the others reek of void dwellings, reality warping and manipulation themselves. Like when I gave Nehelenia her enhanced nightmare. She became omnipotent herself with no equal. Her own nightmare before was simple enough to enter and destroy."

Galaxia peered over to see a silhouette slowly take shape before Kagura. She felt like giving advice at the moment, but quickly spat the idea away.

"If you cannot break out of this two bit hypnotist's void, then you deserve to be sealed in here."

Using instantaneous movement, the Golden Queen returned to her extravagant seat. Arika giggled in Galaxia's direction, impressed that the Queen would show even the slightest concern for another.

"Don't get any ideas. She wouldn't even make it as one of the Animamates," jeered Galaxia.

Arika just smiled deviously.

"No! NO!" cried out the Wind Sorceress, her worst fears coming true before her. "I left you back in Feudal Japan. WHERE YOU BELONG!"

"Kagura. The only person you have to fear...is me."

Those words hold so much meaning. If it wasn't Naraku preventing her freedom, then it was Hakudōshi and currently, Arika. She struggled to break this reality from her mind. It seeped into her soul without any desire to escape. Kagura screamed in terror, nearly coming to tears. Her freedom was nothing but a hopeless dream.

"STOP IT!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! LEAVE ME ALONE, DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!"

Kagura clasped her shoulders tightly; her kimono began to loosen a bit from the violent movement and shaking she's done. Even in a state of mind violation, the Wind Sorceress's beauty was unmatched by anyone. Her exposed shoulders and messy head of hair; she was the victim of a horrible fate. Kagura thrashed about so violently that she was able to score a brief moment of concentration. Inhaling and exhaling with difficulty, she collected herself...only it was forced. Resulting in one thing.

"Heh...cough cough...Naraku. Cough....you've been in my life so long. I can't remember anything else..."

The soles of Kagura's feet attempted to position themselves just enough to stand up properly.

"Now..." she continued in a whispering tone, finally in a standing position. "...just do me a favor. It's easy...just...do what you do."

Somehow, Kagura was able to gather wind from inside this void of darkness! A first glance that she body was in the physical world, but she was in such a fit of rage, that it didn't matter.

"DANCE OF THE DRAGON!!!"

Kagura waved the massive twister of wind, with speeds up to 819 mph. In the void, nothing was happening. On the outside, the Wind Sorceress destroyed every single neighboring towns and source of life that was standing to oppose her desperation. The townsfolk from before violently thrown in all directions; most ended up bloodied and bashed. A magnificent display to Arika. Inside, it was ineffective.

“HA! It’s working. Spinning your brain around like spaghetti on a fork is rather amusing, I must say.” Fiona watched as the destruction of buildings collapsed. She was getting amazed at how well Kagura was displaying her power.

“Over some harmless man? My, what was it that scared her so much. I could take this man out with a needle.” Fiona was getting her ego up in a bunch and forgot to see the actual picture here. She was toying with someone, she enjoyed it. But what else could Fiona do that would put this woman over the edge. She loved to egg people on and say she was the best. Proving she is by getting her way made her even more satisfied.

“Around, around you go. Where you stop…nobody knows. You know something, Witchy? You’re all out of steam. Showing off like you’re the Wicked Witch of the West is not something to be proud of. You’re the Tornado that kills everything in a fit of rage. The way I see it, you can’t control it. Where as I….I have....Many years of training and performing my magic. I’m the best Witch there is.

Fiona, the Supreme HIGH WITCH” Fiona said as she stared into Kagura’s eyes again. Fiona began to use the mysterious man again. “KAGURA! YOU’RE WEAK. You’re losing this fight. You lose against this, I will put an end to you. FIGHT KAGURA FIGHT.”

Yang smiled as she watched Kagura "There is a reason I am rooting for her," she said to Atlas "and we may just see why now"

"Come on, Kagura!" Etna shouted, encouraging her demon comrade, "Knock that old hag's block off, already!"

"I AM FIGHTING, YOU STUPID ARACHNID FUCK!" Kagura screamed, unaware of the damage she's causing outside. Arika's floating cameras zoomed on the force winds that lashed the countryside. The villains focused on the battle via Arika's "titan tron", since Fiona and Kagura decided to take this fight elsewhere.

The Wind Sorceress drops to her knees once more after spiraling out of control. Her jade beaded earrings were the only things showing any form of movement. All Kagura could do was listen to Naraku's voice.

"Dammit! Why can't I beat you, Naraku? NO...ARIKA....YOU'RE THE ONE WHO IMPRISONED ME HERE!"

"Remember..."

(Flashback to MXP Episode 7: Self Aware)

"Don't underestimate....me." smirked Mai, which threw Arika off into a stunned surprise. Mai closed her eyes as a shining light appeared from her hand, calling forth the power of Hikari's Moonlight Blade. She gripped the Crescent Moon Hilt, activated her Element and flew into the air above the Ground HKs. They attempted to shoot her down but to no avail. Her barrier, which was enhanced greatly by Kagutsuchi's assistance, made the plasma fire ricochet off her. Mai opened her eyes, revealing the beautiful violet jewels of determination and screamed, "JUSTICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Mai twirled in mid-air, using the energy from the Blade to cut down the mechanical beasts down to size. Most of them exploded on impact! He was right, the sword didn't limit itself to anyone who wasn't born during the Silver Millennium. Mai didn't understand what that meant, but she didn't care as Arika didn't come from his world or shared his world's logic. In a flash, all fifteen of the Ground HKs that surrounded Mai were destroyed. The light cut through the strong magical armor like a hot knife through butter. Kagura couldn't believe her eyes.

(END FLASHBACK)

"Mai...Tokiha. The one who stood up to my master. New master. More powerful master?!"

Struggling to get up once more, Kagura extended her arm, pointing her fan in the direction of the silhouette Naraku.

"WHETHER OR NOT I'VE LOST YOU FOREVER, MY FREEDOM AWAITS FOR ME. THIS LIFE IS MINE, NARAKU. AND IT CERTAINLY ISN'T YOURS...Fiona."

Fiona stepped back a few feet and existed out of the illusion. Her spell was defeated. How could that be? No one could come out of that alive in her world. She was the one who had to take the spell off. Fiona grew angry and started to bunch up her fists.

“DAMN YOU, WITCHY! Your freedom will be mine. I swear to you that I will get you.” Fiona yelled as she flipped her hair back. She extended her arm out forward once again to try the spell on her. Fiona’s face scrunched up in anger as the spell had no effect. “Shit, she is aware of this spell now. FUCK…..” Fiona grew anger by the minute.

“Think Fiona…..what is there to do.” Fiona thought for a moment. With a smile on her to through her opponent off once again, Fiona disappeared. Fiona appeared behind Kagura with a tall stature.

“BURN. WHEN WITCHES DON’T FIGHT….THEY BURN.” Fiona yelled. Kagura became engulfed by a pillar of fire. Fiona stood watch as she took a cigarette out from her dress pocket and put it between her lips. She lit it on fire with her finger and took a big, deep breath.

After a few more puffs of the cancer stick, she threw it into the pillar of fire. “I thought you could use some….heat in your life.”

The heat was intense enough to do serious damage on a human being. The irony in a witch burning another was too great. Had Kagura existed during that time, she would of found it amusing as well.

"Damn you, old hag."

The flames had engulfed the body of Kagura, causing her kimono to burn up. Thinking fast, she summoned a powerful wind coming from the South end. Because Fiona was standing in the spot she wanted, Kagura pushed all the flames in her direction.

"THEY BURN ALL RIGHT!" Kagura mocked, doing an escape roll to regain balance. Her body took an incredible amount of damage from Fiona's attack. While Kagura appeared to look quite human, she was anything but. Her high degree burns began to clear; the beautiful silk naked skin began to reveal itself. The only thing that didn't regenerate was her clothing. The perks of being a demon sorceress. Sadly, Fiona was still breathing and recovering from the counter flames.

"So...the relic is still alive, eh? This is starting to get interesting. Be fortunate that I don't take your pretty head as a trophy. Even if I did, it would revert back to the mummy I remember most."

Though she never took much pride in Naraku's objectives, Kagura temporarily felt the joy of stalking her prey. Koga learned this first hand; you never tamper with the wind. Drawing circles around Fiona, then opening the fan once more, Kagura unleashed her biggest Ryūja no mai yet. Twice the power of her lashing out from earlier.

"DANCE OF THE DRAGONNNNNNN!"

This massive gust of wind moved towards the blackened witch. A force of nature unlike any other.

Fiona snarled, wrinkling up her prettified face. Furious and anger….no…Fiona was more than just those two emotions. Put them together and you get an old woman on pms. No one dared to confront an elder witch when she is THAT upset.

Her rage was boiling to the point that tress behind her were starting to smoke. Flames burst out of them and burned a crisp in an instant. Buildings, what's left of them, burned to the ground. The smell was horrendous, the smell of death and burning flesh and hair made even strongest male churn with disgust.

"You're…..nothing, but a cartoon. All of you….a cartoon." Fiona mumbled.

"NOTHING! YOU, RETCHED WOMAN!" Fiona looked down to notice that her body had moved to a different spot. She was laying on the ground. Kagura had forced her fire back to her. She had missed it by an inch but barely. A little cinder was burning at a corner of her dress.

Fiona smiled and started laughing. She grasped the strands of grass in her hands and leaned back. The Supreme Witch felt something solid against her and turned her head to look at it. A mist of water, a beautiful fountain bought her eye. She eyed it with a shocked gaze. Fiona…had lost. Kagura must know.

The mist was showering on the elder Witch and her fresh, new skin started to sizzle. Fiona winced at the pain and stood up, slowly. Her hair was filling up with little rain droplets.

"Kill me…….Kill me, Kagura." Fiona smiled giving into her loss. "You beat me, fair and square. Kill me and put an end to my disease. Living with Cancer will take it's toll on you. I've committed so much murder over the years that I no nothing but pain and violence. Kill me. You will be nothing everyone a favor here. Arika doesn't want an old woman in the group. I have already claimed a title. THE STRONGEST WITCH THERE EVER IS, THE SUPREME HIGH WITCH OF THE COVEN."

Fiona took a deep breath and smiled. "Also, I was able to get you didn't I? At least I know that I can put up fight in this world, or even yours. Naraku really is your nightmare. Hmmm, if hadn't used that…I may have lost right in the beginning. Planning this all along is what I do. My new appearance, battle structure….getting to know my opponent. Yeah. All part of my charm. "KILL ME, KAGURA. DO IT NOW!!!"

Yang's facial expressions turned downright creepy as her smile reached from side to side "I told you I rooted for Kagura for a reason"

Kagura listened as Fiona continued her berating. The "Supreme" and "strongest" witch were nothing more than self proclaimed jargon to her. As she approached the woman before her, everything started to make sense. From the beginning until the moment she lost control over Kagura. Yes, Fiona did exploit a weakness in Kagura that may never be recovered until Naraku and Arika for that matter, are dead. Goals that needn't be rushed.


"You're pathetic," was coldly spewed from the sweet ruby lips. "It's true that you were able to enter into my deepest, darkest of fears. But what good is it if the visions are false?" she continued, standing half nude before her defeated opponent. "I've killed hundreds upon hundreds in my short lifetime, blackened one. I don't regret a damn thing I've done, even if it were forced upon me. BUT I'D TRADE A THOUSAND DEAD HUMANS JUST TO SEE NARAKU DIE!"

The stiff hand of Kagura's hand wipes Fiona's face. "This is exactly why you must live."

The Wind Sorceress jumped backwards a few feet. "Your usefulness begins now, assisting in my freedom by defeating Mai Tokiha's allies. Although, I can't lie to you about your chances, but..."

Kagura's smile of optimism was focused on the giant Titan Tron. What did she have in mind?


"...you have my sympathies."

Kagura quickly pulls her feathered hairpin out of her bun, and throws it in Fiona's direction. The same feather that helped Kagura maneuver in the fight against Midori Sugiura (See MXP Act I Episode 7: Self Aware), expanded and shifted into a horizontal position; knocking Fiona into the fountain of water. Pinning her down for about ten seconds before Kagura decided to call her feather back. As a strange substance begins to rise from her opponent's, Kagura turns her back to Fiona. Walking proudly towards the villains gathering, past all the wreckage. Now feeling that her mission had begun. This time, for real.

The Supreme Witch fell into the water, her skin sizzling like acid. Fiona screamed in pain as the water seeped through her skin and down to her bones. Her hair turned to a crisp and her outfit burned to shreds.

Fiona's hand popped out of the water, like a zombie being released from the dead for the first time. Her hand was shredded, skin was pealing off a and sores formed. Her head poked up from the liquid to watch the Wind Sorceress walk away.

"Fuck you….fuck you, cartoon. I lost to a freaking cartoon. Too bad you can't take an eraser to her damn body." Fiona mumbled as she lifted herself out of the water.

Fiona took a big step out of the fountain and yelled out in pain. Her dress was gone, she was totally nude. Sores everywhere and her hair was fried.

"I look like a freaking hobo." Fiona said as she looked down at her appearance. She slowly started to heal herself. Her skin was becoming sleek again, like she was during her fight.

"There…much better. Now….someo ne get me a god damn towel. Unless you want to be scared for the rest of your life. Unless you like how I look."

Callisto pulled a small bug out of her hair and looked at it. She watched as the beetle squirmed between her index finger and thumb. She smiled and flicked off and paid attention to the fight.

"Oh, it's over? That Supreme was all talk it would seem. NICE GOING! Your new beauty is what made you lose....Aphrodite!"

Alphard was extremely amused by the use of magic. She isn't use to this kind of fighting either. She wanted to learn from them and study their movements.

"I actually enjoyed it." Alphard clapped her hands together. "You may have lost, Fiona but you did well. For someone your......" Alphard paused when she saw a death glare being shot at her. Fiona stared into her soul with so much hate that Callisto stepped back a bit.

"Damn, she's pissed. Sore loser." Callisto mumbled to Alphard.

Azula hummed to herself, gold eyes half-lidded as she continued to meditate with a blue flame cradled between her hands.

“I’d have paid you your weight in gold to aid my friends and I during the War.” Azula eventually said to Kagura. “Not that Father would have ever approved of it.”

She lifted one shoulder in a half-shrug and continued looking out at the world through half-lidded eyes.

“Still,” she intoned. “I’d have enjoyed watching the Avatar flounder against you.” She tilted her head slightly and narrowed her eyes at Kagura in thought. “I wonder if his Energybending would have any effect on you.”

Regina smirked darkly when Fiona was beaten. She never did like the egotistical witch.

“No matter how powerful you think yourself, there’s always someone who can beat you.” She said at length.

Azula hummed her agreement again.

Kuzon only grunted, convinced he could have beaten them both with ease.

Etna clapped, pleased that her demon college had won that fight. "Now THAT was a real fight. I'm impressed, Kagura."

Satsuki smirked with satisfaction. She was also pleased that the wind sorceress claimed victory.

"THE WITCHES DUEL WAS INCREDIBLE! THE PSYCHOLOGY, THE DIRTY TACTICS, THE SASS!"

"YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, ARINKO-CHAN! OLD SAGGY BAGS FIONA THOUGHT SHE HAD KAGURA IN THE PALM OF HER WRINKLY HANDS UNTIL KAGURA SAID BITCHPLZWHOOSHWHOOSH AND BAM! DOWN SHE WENT!"

Arinko shrugged at, what she felt, was an unsatisfying ending, "WHY IS IT THAT WATER ALWAYS KILLS WITCHES?"

"SINCE 1939! IF IT WORKS, LIGHT A FIRE AND FART ON IT!"

"Arika-chaaaaaan!" yelled her pouty double in protest, "It's If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

"WHO ASKED YOU, ANYWAY! YOU'RE JUST AN ANT GOD WITH NO EQUAL WHO CRAWLS OUT OF VAMPIRE PENIS!"

"That was you, genius...AND IT WAS GLORIOUS! *A* "

"WITH THAT IN MIND, LADIES AND GERMS, MAY WE PRESENT OUR NEXT MATCH! IN THE RED CORNER, AGAIN, FROM THE WORLD OF POKEMON TCGs....THE PUSHY, THE STINKY AND MAAANNNN IS HE UG-LY....VECTORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Bashing Arika to death with a sledgehammer, Arinko takes over the screen. "AND IN THE BLUE CORNER, FROM THE NETHERWORLD! SHE OWNS AN INFINITE AMOUNT OF RETARD PENGUINS, WAS BORN 2-D AND IS NEVER REALLY CLEAR ON WHETHER OR NOT SHE'S REALLY EVIL BECAUSE OF HER CARTOONY OVER THE TOP PMS....GIVE IT UP FORRRRRR, ETNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

Arika suddenly looked in Callisto's direction and quickly morphs her face into some of...troll.

Atlas was now sitting right next to Yang, both looking at the competition, Atlas was the first to speak "I don't care if that Rio girl won her round, Vector is going down in this round...even if he can summon things from another realm"

Yang shrugged "Last round it was someone I hate versus someone I don't hate too much Atlas, I could go either way here...but Etna is a demon with an army of exploding peglegged penguins, I have to say I am rooting for her"

Alucard grinned "I am rooting for the creepy bastard, with the spiky hair"

Yang smiled as she threw down some British Pounds and Zenny respectively "it's a bet then, I say Etna finishes it" Alucard grinned "I say the carrot is going to win" he said throwing down some money and a goat leg. Atlas threw down her Zenny "900 on Etna to win without the Prinny"

Callisto stood up from the ground
"......XENA.........."

Completely ignoring that flat chested idiot's ridiculous loud announcements, Etna readied herself for battle. She had no idea who she was dealing with. Nor did she care all that much. Regardless, she had to keep her guard up against him.    

"Yeah, let's start." Etna made an impish smirk.
She wielded her spear and stood in a casually laid-back like stance.

So, she allowed this boy to summon his illusion powers. By the time she saw multiple arms emerging from the portal behind her, Etna dodged out of the way. Quickly, Etna pulled out a gun and aimed it at the portal without even looking at it. She took a shot at the portal, inflicting some damage to Vector as he stumbles out of the portal.

"Nice try there, kid." Etna said to him, flashing a devious smile, "But it'll take more than that to fight a beauty queen such as myself."

Suddenly, she snapped her fingers and clouds began to gather. Like a storm was brewing near.
Instead, there were hundreds of prinnies descending from the sky like meteoroids. All were targeting Vector while he was stunned and exposed. They shoot down at him explosively one after the other. They had hit him with perfect accuracy.

Meanwhile, Arika watches the insane battle unfold, while listening to the entire conversation. "Kagura-chan, that big mouth of yours will get you nowhere~~"

Azula's lips curled into a slow smirk, eyes lidded as she looked up at Kagura

"The Avatar is welcome to come after me." She fairly purred, voice smooth as silk. "He fancies himself a Master of the Elements, but I know he's let his training drop off. I, on the other hand, have never stopped training."

She opened her eyes fully, bright golden eyes pinning Kagura.

"I've killed him once, I can do it again."

"Shut up or I'll kill you, King of shit talk!"
Etna, peeved with the 'flat chest' comment, kicked a prinny towards Vector's direction.

The close contact caused the blue penguin demon to bounce back. It was now heading towards Etna.The reddish haired demon dodged out of the way and allowed the prinny to hit near by the spectators.That must've been some kind of barrier just then.
