Mai-X-Project Act I: Zero Hour Part 2 [Complete]

"We'll do our best, Natsuki."
Midori sneered at Natsuki. Her eyes full of confusion at hearing the name Arika.
"Who in the hell is Arika? If she's the one behind all of this I'll gladly take her down."
Kanako peered upside down from under Midori's waist, her hair dangling ,
"I just wanna go home and meet a nice girl already!"

Shizuru hummed in agreement as Natsuki completed her speech.

“I will help Natsuki in whatever way she needs.” She affirmed alongside the others.

Even if it means protecting her life with mine. She thought with a faint frown as the image of the Gakuenchou bleeding out on the floor below her once again flashed through her mind.


Elsa frowned softly and tightened her grip on Anna’s hand ever-so-slightly.

If Arika is responsible for Anna being taken… The ground around her frosted over slightly and the temperature noticeably dropped for a few seconds.

She chewed on her lower lip, a bad habit she’d picked up from Anna as children and had never quite managed to break. She knew full well she’d offer what support she could but…well she just didn’t know all that much about her abilities still.

“If Arika is responsible for all of this,” she glanced towards Anna before continuing. “Then I will do whatever I can to help put her down.” Her voice lowered and iced over. “Permanently.”

A chill skittered down Summanus' spine upon hearing Elsa's words and the tone in which she delivered them. She would be one to keep an eye on.

He rumbled his support from atop the chasm, even as he began to think of ways to help the young Queen learn to explore her abilities.

"You know already that Mikoto is on board!" the cat goddess shouted cheerfully, sporting her iconic cat-like grin, "I want to see Mai, too! Despite, you know, her being from your modern time. And I want to make tuna soup out of that meanie Arika for bringing me here with those portals!"

"I, Mako Mankanshoku will also aide my new friends to the best of my ability!" the chestnut haired girl declared as she snapped her feet together and made a sharp salute to Natsuki and Nao. "I have a friend to look for too. If the bad guys lay a finger on her, there's going to be hell to pay!"

"I'm in. I've dealt with a few hooligans back in my world. It's not going be easy but we'll catch up to this Arika chick one way or another. Rezetta agreed, "Besides, you people are starting to grow on me a bit."

Popping up like Arendelle's newest creation, the whack-a-Hans, in front of her clearly upset sister's face, Anna digs her gloved fingers into her nostrils. "Elsa! Don't get all ICE QUEEN just yet! Is this...Areca person that bad? I've never seen her before. Wasn't it the big, mean and nasty magic hole that brought us here!?"

An intense surge of uneasiness swept Anna's body; fearing for her sister's life. For the most part, Elsa can take care of herself. And with Nao's friends joining her, there should be little to be concerned with. Still, what caused her to worry? Anna shook her head and attempted to lighten things up. "YOU TOTALLY CHEWED YOUR LIP JUST NOW! How's that for influence, eh sis?~" wiggling her fiery eyebrows flirtatiously.

"This Nao Yuuki is a "HiME" like you, Mademoiselle Natsuki? Then allow me to serve her as well, for the sake of returning home victorious," shouted Oscar, marching towards Nao and offer a respective bow. "I am Oscar François de Jarjayes, Mademoiselle Nao. It is an honor to meet another foreigner like Natsuki."

“Anna,” Elsa murmured lowly to her sister. “Arika may have created the portal that took you away—“ from me “...that brought you here.”

"Wait," Anna holding her hands up in a "stop" fashion. "You're saying that-HEY! SHE PREVENTED US FROM OUR NIGHTLY CUDDLE TIME!!!"

Oscar overhears this and blushes a tad. "Oh dear...between sisters! Not at all uncommon in Paris."

"Wow, Anna-san! You snuggle with another girl, too?!" Boisterous Mako asked, expressing curiosity and amazement, "Sugoi! I cuddle with my best friend Ryuko-chan every night!"

Mako placed her hands on her blushing cheeks, "It feels so nice! I even get to snuggle next to her chest, Tee-hee~! But, Ryuko-chan has been muttering Satsuki-sama's name a bit lately. Even when we sleep together."

Rezetta glared at both Mako and Anna. She shook her head in disbelief and disapproval.
"The both of you are unfiltered, you know that?"

Akihisa's lack of confidence gets Anna's attention. "That's not true, silly boy! Remember who saved me from the pregnancy spider! You will be rewarded and I don't mean in gold!" Looking over at Elsa, she leaned towards the young man and whispers, "when she's not looking~" before giving her an awkward thumbs up.

Elsa's eyes darted to her sister and rapidly narrowed.

"Anna...." Her tone held a palpable note of warning to it. She leaned forward and hissed into her sister's ear.

"Have you forgotten that I have excellent hearing?"

"-excuse me?" chimed in Oscar who was curious about this little discussion. "Might I just say that love has no boundaries. At least, in the world I come from. The public thought Marie was involved in an incest relationship, but when you travel through France, many people do the same. Hypocrites; and I'm supposed to side with them for poor Andre's sake. I for one am happy for you both."

Anna's eyes lit up like two fresh new lanterns. "You're so open mined, Oscar! And well dressed too! Oh, I've always wanted to go to Paris! My sister never takes me anywhere except sledding and the occasional troll pranks," she giggled uncontrollably.  "Remember the one time we actually got Kristoff married to the Troll with the heavy Scottish accent, Elsa?!" Anna continued, laughing and letting out a loud snort.

Natsuki gives a faint smile to everyone before saying a last minute detail of instructions.

"I suggest we work our way back to the portal that we came through. Shirley and Alexis are still waiting there and I'm sure they've been wondering what has been going on." Natsuki says as she starts to walk away slowly, hoping that everyone will keep up with her.

Her head drifted back to look at Shizuru. "I'm glad you're here." Natsuki said as she smiled with a little bit of sadness. "We can do this."

Shane salutes Natsuki and prepared to start moving forward, grabbing Johanna's hand in the process.

"Hey, let me go!" Johanna yelled.

"Hey, you do realize that I have to get into you sometime in this adventure right? It's inevitable, don't you feel it?" Shane said with a laugh.

For the first time in awhile, a blush formed on Johanna's face. "I....I don't know what you're talking about." Johanna lashed out.

"Come on. You were staring at me for the longest time, don't fight it." Shane said.

Johanna just huffed and rolled her eyes. "Whatever."

Mikoto eyed Nao for a moment, noticing some uneasiness from the crimson head girl. Perhaps she wasn't sure if Shizuru Viola was meant to be trusted.

In a playful manner, Mikoto approached Nao.
"Hey, Nao, if you're so unsure about Shizuru, why don't you ask her yourself if she can be trusted? I know her and her Natsuki well. She's very protective of her even now. So, give her some credit for being civil with you. She's Viola not Fujino. Besides, where we both come from, Viola and your future-self got along quite famously."

Meanwhile
Shirley put on her striker units and smiled as the engines revved, she had really outdone herself with her most recent modifications, they probably could hit Mach 4 at this point.

Alexis was sitting impatiently crosslegged on the ground and jumped up and started pacing, "What is taking them so long?" she complained "guard the portal, honestly nothing is happening out here, its not like they're fighting...I dunno monsters with acid blood or something"

Shirley smiled down at her flying at a minimal height "you never know with this trip Alex, remember Storybrooke"

Alexis rolled her eyes and groaned "don't remind me"

The HiME have united their allies together. All agreeing to seek Mai Tokiha and find an escape from the ever changing world. Somewhere, the corrupted innocent believes these rebels haven't fully completed their objective inside Mako's chosen world. As the rain poured harder, the exterior of the chasm began to move on it's own. Was the land trembling because of Summanus's presence? It would be the most logical reason. Perhaps, it was something more? Below the thoughtless beast, undetected and moving at a rapid speed, the ground continued to move towards the heroes inside the crater where the concentrated acid was showered. A brief flash of lightning revealed unfinished business.

Oscar heard a sound that related to hissing noises, but dismisses it quickly. "Impossible. There's no trace of wind..."

Back at the portal, Alexis and Shirley continued guarding the portal which may open at any given moment. Unbeknownst to either one, a row of 11 Ronso...SKINNED RONSO...suddenly dropped down in front of them. Once alerted, the murderer in question spots them through thermal vision of some kind. Where or who it is, is a mystery. Judging by the distance, it can't be far.

"Jiminy crickets!" Alexis jumped 3 feet in the air, as she landed she began darting her eyes around looking for whatever killed them "Torch Pegasus" she whispered, suddenly wings of flame sprouted on her back, she got into a fighting stance,

"Shirley, keep your eyes open"

"Already 2 steps ahead of you"

Shirley activated her speed boost upon her reflexes and began rapidly looking around, even through the blizzard she could spot tracks...however as of yet it seemed the tracks led to nowhere...as if the creator of them had just disappeared

Strange clicking noises could be heard, but the hunter disappeared without a trace. It spots the two powerful girls, activating weapons it could not identify. It had to know what they were capable of. By activating it's duel wielded plasma casters, it fires an intentionally missed shot at the smaller girl. Hoping to see what happens, it moves out of firing range. Making hurried clicking noises. "Crkkkkkkkkkkk".

Alexis turned around and jumped in the direction the blast came from bringing down a flaming kick "Fuerza Valiente" burning a giant crater into the side of the mountain, but no bodies amongst the rubble. 

Shirley flew overhead and looked down to see the tracks in the snow, "ALEXIS BEHIND YOU!" drawing her gun she fired at where the tracks seemed to stop, rapid bullets rained down the area

The hunter dodges out of the way of the spraying gunfire. Some of the bullets bounced off it's armor, but one managed to penetrated it's exposed thigh area. Though hitting the armor started to cause the desired effect, for the hunter became revealed. Like an exposed chameleon.



This...Predator...roars so loudly, that the entire mountain region echos it's fury. As retaliation, the Predator fires two accurate shots at the two girls.

Panning over to the highest mountain peak in Mt. Gagazet, a hooded figure wearing one of the dead and bloody Ronso corpses (sick..), watches the action unfold. "No, no, no! That won't be much fun if Alexis-chan is involved!" TELEPORT!

The hooded figure appears behind Alexis, chopping her neck gently which knocks her out. As she falls into the cavern, the hooded figure follows her unconscious body all the day down. "Close your eyes and count to seven, when you awake, you'll be in heaven." As Alexis's body hits the ground, the Predator looks down and back up at Shirely. Continuing it's priority.

Meanwhile with the other Heroes and shit

Kanako hung limply on Midori's shoulder, pouting for all the abuse she had suffered, deserved or otherwise. Looking around in boredom, her eyes squinted to peer closely at something black marching toward them. No not just one, several! She went stiff, hands shaking and eyes wide as one stared back at her. Her mouth twitched and she screamed out,
"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNSSTTEEEERRRSSSS!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!"
Struggling out of Midori's grasp, Kanako landed on the ground flat on her stomach. Turning, Midori saw her and made another grab for her body to secure her again.
"What the hell are you talking about you damn...oh shit..."
Bending down for Kanako, she spotted the dreaded Xeno's groups coming forward. Spellbound for a few moments before drawing her swords, Midori was about to attack before Kanako sat up sharply, knocking her in the head with enough force to send her to the ground. Kanako then proceeded to run screaming away in a random direction, crashing into Saki and knocking into her. As they fell to the floor Kanako's face landed in something soft, much to Saki's dismay as she punched the girl in the face, sending her flying and rolling away, dazed. The Xeno's drew nearer.

Alexis's eyes began to close as she drifted downwards into unconsciousness, "rest's up to you Shi..." and then darkness

Shirley looked down at her foe, especially at the strange cannon on his shoulder, opening fire she ascends to a higher altitude firing downwards. Suddenly the continuous fire comes to an unprecedented halt, she looked at her browning to realize it was jammed, however there would be no time to repair it now as plasma was being fired all around, while her barrier was deflecting them for the most part there would be no way to counter attack

slinging her browning over her shoulder she drew her Bowie Knife from her jacket, using her speed boost to shoot down at 60 MPH down at the predator knife drawn.

The Predator tilted it's head, not with confusing, but with intrigue. The species fighting it appeared to be a young human from Earth. A most delicate species instead. Seeing how this flying human decided to withdraw it's malfunctioning weapon, the Predator takes out one smart disc and throws it at Shirley. Missing, it returns back from behind! Before making contact, the Predator speaks the words, "ALEXIS. BE-HIND. YOUUUU." More of a taunt than a warning.

"In Heaven's name, what are these monstrosities?!" cried out Oscar, drawing her rapier and moving into position.

Kaltus hung his head forward with a groan upon hearing more of those foul creatures were on their way. He rubbed at his eyes dramatically, beyond tired of whatever game was being played.

Heaving an exaggerated sigh, he reached his hand into the Aether and pulled out a scythe. His mother’s scythe, Rhipio.

With a nasty grin Kaltus leapt into the air and dropped carelessly into a large group of Xenomorphs. He extended Rhipio, and then began to spin. The scythe rose and fell with each spin, quickly becoming a black and gold blur as it sliced effortlessly through everything in its path.

Incoming! Summanus roared into Elsa’s mind.

Instantly the Queen crouched, ice spreading rapidly under her feet as she did her best to assess the number of foes.

At least a thousand. Summanus helpfully supplied, making no move to actually help. But then, anything he might be able to do would wipe out his allies as well.

Elsa let out a low growl before sweeping her arm out in an arc as she turned a circle. Ice spikes leapt up from the ground in a perfect circle around her and Anna. Glancing behind her, she decided not to take any risks about being ambushed. Her right foot hit the ground sharply as her arm rose, raising a five-foot thick wall of ice behind her. It kept rising until it was even with the top of the chasm; nothing would ambush her sister if she could help it.

Not bad, Iceling. He even sounded impressed.

Elsa ignored the dragon in favor of stepping in front of her sister.

“Stay behind me, Anna.” She ordered, her words crisp as the air surrounding them.

Her knees bent slightly as she settled into a faint crouch, her mind immediately taking her to the last time she’d held such a stance—when those Weselton boys had tried to kill her. About as enthusiastic about dying now as she was then—and now with the added incentive of needing to protect Anna—she took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, centering herself as she allowed her magic to rise to the surface unimpeded.

“MATERIALIZE!” Shizuru shouted as she flicked the hair over her left ear back, exposing her GEM.

Crimson eyes narrowed at the incoming horde for a brief second, before she launched herself into the air faster than the normal eye could track.

No harm will come to my Natsuki. She mentally growled as she brandished her Element.

She spiraled high into the air, before turning around and diving back, Element fully extended. She flicked her wrist as she swept past Natsuki, sending her Element out in a graceful blur.

Fifty Xenos fell to her first sweep.

Rezetta looked at Kanako for a moment, thinking she had lost her mind. She heard the noise of the black monsters and swung her head to get a look at them. There were more coming their way in rapid speed.
"Holy crap!" she shouted before changing her scythe into a sniper rifle. Rezetta started to elephant, aim, and shoot the alien beasts.

"Guys, we got company!"

Mako dodged an attack from one of the Xenomorph aliens and kicked another way with her strong legs.

"EH?! Where did these things come from all of the sudden?!"

Mikoto hurled her staff in the air and swatted one away with ease. However, more aliens started charging at her. She retreated to Rezetta's side, conserving her strength. She wasn't as powerful as she was back in Earl for whatever reason.
