Mai-X-Project Act I: Zero Hour Part 2 [Complete]

"W-Well I, uh, don't come from the happiest of places, Xan."

The tension of remembering her mission back home set her heart racing. What could she do? What was happening there now that she was missing? All of the stress clouded her mind, and suddenly Xan seemed even more attractive. Saki fidgeted.

"My village controls everyone with a guise of peace and brainwashing behind the scenes. All of us can use Cantus, or telekinesis. DNA manipulation by our ancestors keeps everyone from fighting but..."

Her eyes became downcast.

"There is always the chance that one child will be born without those restraints...so we kill any suspected ones, like we do the Monster Rat slaves if they anger us."

Saki felt her heart sink in shame. She couldn't find the strength to meet Xan's gaze.

"Haha, so it looks like you two keep busy. Maria is perfect, well I doubt right now since I'm missing. I miss her badly."

Lucchini leaned her head into Shirley's petting hand, purring like a cat. She squealed as Shirley grabbed her chest.

"T-These?! I'm like you now!"

She laughed as she spoke.

Midori stared at another...her?!

"What's going on here?..."

She waved her hand slowly, dazed by the splitting image of herself, as if trying to wake from a dream.

"Are you really...me?"

Midnight swooped down and landed gracefully on Elsa’s shoulder, somehow maintaining a grip without her talons hurting the woman.

“Xan’s the idiot by Summanus flirting with all the girls.” Midnight answered. “And neither of you really have a choice. You remind her of her eldest daughter,” she said, butting Elsa’s head gently with her own, “and you’re her sister. So she’ll be mothering both of you in no time.”

Midnight seemed to shrug from her perch on Elsa’s shoulder, purring when the woman reached a hand up to tentatively scratch under the Wyvern’s riff.

“And Summy’s Bonded with you,” she continued to Elsa, “so there’s basically no escaping it since they’ve been partners for nearly a century.”

“Bonded?” Elsa inquired, curious about the term she’d heard more than once now.

“Xan can explain it best.” Midnight shrugged again.

Xan hummed at Saki’s story of her world. “Sounds like a mixture of the Elves and Talfyr from my world.” She said, leaning in as she reached out to gently grab Saki’s face and tilt it up to meet her eyes.

“Nothing to be ashamed of though, sweetheart.” She smiled bitterly. “The only reason I even exist is because my mother was curious to see how Elven, Fae, and Talfyr bloodlines would mix; what kind of abilities a child born of them would have, and whether or not they could be weaponized.”

She shrugged then. “But that kinda thing only defines you if you let it. I’ve risen above that, found a family I never knew I had amidst forming one of my own.” She tapped the younger woman gently on the forehead. “Anyone can do that, if only they let themselves.”

Midori looked her double up and down "Well, let me check something" Midori pulled up her doppelganger's shirt and looked under her breasts "Yup, you have the same mole there...You're definitely me" Midori said with her Philosodori look

"You were able to fight Alucard and defeat him?" Rezetta asked, "Well, glad to hear that! At least it's comforting to know that not all of those villains are invincible. Don't get too bent out of shape though. I couldn't deal with bitch faced goliath either."

"Actually, about Galaxia," Rezetta replied, "she counterattacked me with a blow to the stomach. However, when she made contact, I sensed something in her soul's wavelength.
Had she used her true power on me completely, I would've died. She was holding back from killing me. Instead, she gave me a little more power. What do you think that means?"

It took a while for Rezetta to figure anything out. Maybe she was still tired from traveling through the portals with her allies.
She felt Hikari's hand on top of hers and was instantly pulled closer to him. The woman in white giggled, playing along with Tsunami's advances.

"I agree, serious meetings can wait until later. Everything in moderation."

"Is that so?" Ryuko smiled, "Yeah, Mako is a lot of fun to be around."

"By the way, Oscar-kun," Mako added, "don't be surprised if Senketsu-chan speaks at random to Ryuko-chan. She's very lonely and doesn't have a lot of friends. I should know, I use to have friends in my head. So, yeah, don't mind Ryuko if she acts all weird."

"Oh, Mako..."

"Well, yes, my uniform does have the ability to talk. It use to only talk to me at first. But, after coming these worlds, Senketsu's voice can be heard by anyone now.
It's never happened before."

"Hello, Oscar." Senketsu spoke out, greeting the blonde Frenchwoman.

"See what I mean?" Ryuko chuckled.

"Oscar-kun," Mako quipped, "you should be lucky you got the chance fight alongside Ryuko-chan. You get to see her naked in battle~!"

Ryuko blushed heavily over Mako's blunt comment.

"Mako, exnay on the naked part, kay?"

The brown haired girl looked at Ryuko with a puzzled expression.

"Why not? It's true, isn't it? People don't realize it yet, but you have such a nice body.I should know because I've seen it all the time. During bath times especially."

Mikoto approached Luucchi and Shirley in a friendly manner.  "So, this is must be your friend you were talking about a while back, right Shirley?"

With a cat grin, the girl clad in black monk clothing introduced herself.

"Hi there! I'm Cat goddess Mikoto! It's nice to meet someone else who is also a fan of big boobs such as myself."

Natsuki smirked in reply to Mai's wishes. She knew that they will be talking about this issue soon but for right now...Natsuki needs to meet the rest of the group.

Natsuki walked around and smiled at Shizuru before glancing over at Johanna and a new girl. She took a moment to walk over to them, just to see if they were okay. Her blue hair swayed in the breeze as she walked over to them.

"Hello there, who might you be?" Natsuki asked as she looked at the fiery-orange hair girl.

Gabrielle stood up to meet her, knowing full well that this was one of Mai's friends. Gabriell greeted her with a bow and took notice of her face.

"My name is Gabrielle. You must be Natsuki, Mai's friend that we have been looking for. It's a pleasure to meet you finally."

Natsuki nodded in return. "Yes, that's correct. It seems like your adjusting well to your new surroundings. Where are you from?"

"Well.....it's been a rather horrible experience, really. I'm from Abaddon. I basically live in Hell." Gabrielle replied. She noticed that Johanna was staring at her. "Yes?"

Johanna snorted. "Huh, you and I have something in common already." Johanna said. "I live in Hell as we speak."

Gabrielle's gaze turned into one of concern. "So....sorry to here that. But...I've never seen you there?"

Johanna gave her an annoyed look. "A different kind of Hell. It might as well be Hell since I have to battle in order to live."

Gabrielle turned her head and back at Natsuki. "She is really grumpy isn't she?"

"I'm afraid she is....yes." Natsuki said in reply. "Be nice, Johanna."

Shane walked over to the woman that gave her a wink. "So, who might you be?" Shane asked as she looked at Xan and Saki.

Looking behind her to find Summanus, the little freckle face pouted and pointed her finger at him in such a rude fashion. "I need YOU and Kalty to train me to use my sword better! YES, I'M THROWING YOU UNDER THE CARRIAGE TOO, SUMMY! If I don't learn how to protect my sister better, I'm sooooo gonna freak out ANDYOUWON'TLIKEITWHENIFREAK!"

Anna began to pace back and forth in front of her group like a old fashion teacher of the era, "For instance! Elsa...not YOU Elsa," the princess awkwardly jerked, "THIS Elsa!" showing off her magical blade, "ELSA THE SECOND made me recover faster somehow...please tell me I'm crazy? I dare ya~" cheekily continued Anna, lifting her eyebrows, and smirking like a total smart ass.

Granted, fighting someone with instantaneous movement is even more difficult, but I couldn't pick up ANYTHING again her. She's either gifted or practiced harder than I."

Oscar laughed at the adorable antics between these two, so much that she needed time to recover her breathing, "I apologize for laughing, it's just that it's been a while since I've seen happy occasions between friends. Where I come from, we're on the brink of a revolution, so you can imagine how stressed the country of France is. But when I see you and Mako, I feel at ease."

The tall Frenchwoman knelt down to pay respect to her new ally, Ryuko. "I'm honored to fight alongside you, Ryuko. In the French army, women weren't allowed and certainly not ones your age. You must come from a distant future where women of any reasonable age are accepted as real soldiers. If only I could come see it all.

Oscar once again took a glance at Senketsu, "Nice to meet you, Senketsu. Give me time, talking clothing is still new to me!" she laughed, continuing to focus on him, "so you act as body armor for Miss Ryuko? May I please inquire how that's possible when you seem to be stitched from soft material?"

"Thank you. I'm glad you noticed, but since you can tell I am aware you are a powerful being yourself. I'm not quite sure what your abilities are, but you must have great strength to sense all of this about me." Kyoko explains with an impressed smile.

Focusing back onto Kyoko, Hikari lifted his right shoulder and tilted his head in the same direction. "I was only able to sense this because I'm not human. So my master says, she's always been a mystery to me."

Hikari dropped his cool attitude for a moment to think about the last thing Setsuna said to him. Though Kyoko and Rezetta could not witness these events, obviously, he shared them as best as he could remember.

Reaching over to her magnificent weapon, The Garnet Rod, she activated it's power to have the crystal ball disconnect from the top. Floating it's way down in between herself and Hikari. The young man was stunned by this new trick.

It was beyond just the training I gave you, which certainly helped elevate your skills, but it's more than that. Setsuna smiled with such warm grace as she reached out for Hikari. In turn, the emotionally distraught swordsman reached out for her, like a son needing her mother.

"So ladies, you know a bit more about me. Maybe, when the time is right, I'll share how I ended up here. What is certain is that Arika has become another hurdle for me to jump and I won't back down," looking over at Mai Tokiha, who could be seen speaking to Nao. "None of us will."

"Uh, thanks?" Nao clenches her teeth. She doesn't like physical contact, let alone hugs in general, but this is Mai. Mai is the type to deliver these
things and given the circumstances she has no room to say she isn't glad that Mai is alive as well, not that she'd openly say it.

Mai giggled at Nao's reluctance, "You never change, Nao-san. I'm sorry, I can get carried away as you know. But seriously, how did you manage to escape Arika's attack on Fuuka? With Julia, no less! We can't afford to have our CHILDs destroyed during this mission."

To the HiME of flames, Nao had always been a mixed bag she had come to accept. It took her a few months to forgive her for trying to kill Takumi during the Carnival. Weeks before Arika's attack on Fuuka, Takumi himself looked back on Nao's assassination attempts; letting go of all concern and fear.

"To be honest, sis, Nao is a changed person. The battle between the HiME was clearly circumstantial, in my point of view. Akira suffered because of me, not Nao. She could of easily saved herself. But don't worry, sis. I am not damning myself over it anymore; and I certainly don't hold anything against Nao. She's been nothing but kind to me lately, even sending me birthday and Christmas cards. There is a beautiful human being underneath her rough exterior, just like Akira. She didn't want you to know, but Nao was the first to congratulate me on my wedding proposal to Akira. Mai remembered Takumi's words so vividly, that she no longer felt caution towards Nao. There was no reason to; not anymore.

Saki was so flushed, steam seemed to rise out of her ears.

"Thats...right. Thank you for, not pushing me away."

Hearing a new voice arrive, Saki tensed and turned to see who it was.

Mikoto approached Shirley, making Lucchini hug her friend. She growled lowly.

Midori jumped up as she was touched by herself. She stepped back seconds later, giving Saber and the other Midori a gawking stare.

"No way in hell. No, no, NO!!"

“Wouldn’t dream of it, doll.” Xan purred to Saki as she rose smoothly, aware that they were being approached.

“Xanda Lutien, hot stuff.” Xan replied to Shane with an alluring smirk, vibrant blue eyes dancing at having pulled another woman in. She reached out and gently grasped one of Shane’s hands, bringing it up to her lips without ever breaking eye contact. “And you?”

Married with kids or not, she was happy to see she still had her charm. She could almost feel Lae rolling her eyes from here. As it was, she could feel her Familiar’s amusement perfectly…the little Wyvern knew what’d be happening in the next few moments; she was hardly unfamiliar with the way Xan worked.

Xan’s lips curled when, as she’d expected, the young Queen and her adorable sister approached, with Kaltus trailing them curiously. She pinned Anna with her eyes and turned her charm up further.

“Don’t look at me, cutie,” Xan told Anna with a smooth grin, flirtatious presence expanding once again to envelope those around her. “Summanus did that on his own.”

Summanus grunted, but didn’t otherwise respond to either Xan or Anna.

“I can teach you about your blade, Princess,” Kaltus offered as he came abreast with the group. “I am the one who made it, after all~”

Because there is absolutely ZERO rebuttal!" The princess couldn't help but giggle uncontrollably. Did Kaltus say something amusing?

"Kalty! There you are! Could you tell Mister Big and Grumpy to be a little more cooperative! We are girls on a mission, you know!"

Anna pulled her sister along in Kaltus's direction; her eyes shining bright with the same look of hopefulness Sven gets when he's inches away from Olaf's edible schnoz.

"Before we get down to the nicey icey, could you make a weapon for Elsa too, Kalty? PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE?! I have GOLD! And...um...." Anna mumbles while digging through her pockets, "LINT! THE FINEST IN ALL ARENDELLE!" searching a bit more, "OH! THE RAREST GOODY YET!" whipping out a familiar creature, "One of those spider thingies that almost gave me a blessing on my face!"

Somehow, I don't think Kaltus would accept Arendelle money and lint as payment. Let alone a Facehugger carcass. What pocket was that stuffed in!?

"Elsa's magic may not be good enough, Kalty. Creating her own ice swords will be too weak against anything more advanced than that giant serpent queen. Come on, Kalty! KALTY! KALTY! KALTY!"

The muscular, lean woman approached the two beauties, slowly swaying her hips as she walked. Her brown, shaggy hair hung in her face will her eyes looked heavy. It was almost like she was smoking pot the whole night. Through squinting eyes, she breathed her husky voice through the small opening of her mouth. Letting the smoke escape in the air, she tipped her head at the two. Her hair swinging around with the slow movement.

"Xan, huh? Like that." Shane said, before accepting Xan's hand. She raised a questioning eyebrow. She was surprised because she uses that charm on young girls back at the Planet.

Shane threw her head back making that signature trademark she does. Her head was tipped to the side as more smoke escaped her firm lips. Her eyes shifted over to the other girl. Before Shane walked over to her, she winked at Xan with a smirk.

"Nice.....plump ass you have." Shane said before leaving her.

"Now, who might you be? Shane asked as she walked over to Saki. Shane's shoulder swayed with so much manliness that Gabrielle shot a look at her.

"What the hell is she doing?" Gabrielle asked as she leaned into Johanna.

"My guess is she is going to challenge that sexy ass Elf." Johanna said as she propped her arms up behind her.

Natsuki rolled her eyes and tipped her head at Gabrielle. "Nice to meet you, Gabrielle. I'm going to walk around some more." Natsuki said, her hair swinging around with her forceful turn.

She locked eyes onto Shizuru and then started walking over to her.

Gabrielle leaned in closer to try and hear the conversation that was going on between Shane and the other group of friends.

"Hey! Johanna, I'm going over there." Gabrielle said as she jumped up with excitement.

"Whatever......" Johanna said as she shrugged her shoulders.

"SHANE!!!" Gabrielle said as she ran over with her arm waving at her.

Shane ignored her for a second to try and get the name of the other girl.

Saki jumped in surprise.

"I-I-I-I uh...um....who're you first?!"

Her eyes flitted to Xan uncertainly.

Mikoto just laughed at Luuchini's defensive behavior, she was just being protective of her friend.
She use to be that way too with her Mai.

"I just told you who I was, silly!" Mikoto laughed, "You better get use to me because now that we're all together, we need to team up if we want to take down the bad guy who forced up here."

"Well, like Mako said," Ryuko explained to Oscar, "it's pretty much a skimpy outfit. Senketsu in a way, does act as my armor. However, it needs my blood in order for it to resonate with my body. And as for where I came from, in order to survive you have to obtain a super powered uniform or else you will be banished to the slums. Mako and her family had been stuck there for years even before I showed up."

"Actually, yes, I can absorb some power from my opponents." Rezetta replied to Hikari, "Once I defeat them, I allow my scythe to absorbs some of that new power as well. But,, I wasn't expecting for Galaxia to give me some of her power, on purpose or not."

Rezetta looked at her golden scythe, Goldie. It had been a while since she's ever trained for an upgrade in combat.

"Sure, thing, Hikari. I've been quite rusty lately. And it's been a while since I fought."

Kaltus shook his head apologetically at Anna, eyeing the facehugger corpse with trepidation.

“Sorry, Princess, but she wouldn’t be able to use anything I can create anyway.” He explained. “She could use something made by my sister, if she were here, since Ice is a product of Void and Water; but I’m essentially her opposite.”

“Iceling won’t need it.” Summanus grunted, opening a massive platinum eye and pinning Elsa with it. “I can teach her how to more effectively use her magic through the Bond.”

“Is anyone going to fill me in on what this Bond thing is?” Elsa inquired, mildly exasperated.

Xan snorted at Shane’s actions, thoroughly amused by the girl.

“Not bad, kid.” Xan grinned in Shane’s direction. “But you’ve got a ways to go before you reach my level, darlin’.”

She briefly walked between Shane and Saki, a hand brushing against each of their hips, before walking over to an exasperated Elsa.

“Thought you’d never ask, Little Queen~” Xan chirped, draping one arm around Elsa’s shoulders and the other around Anna’s….revealing that she held a pair of pants in each hand. A quick look back would confirm that both Shane and Saki were now pantsless.

“Each Bond is different,” Xan explained. “But in essence it gives you a magical and psionic connection to Summy, and allows you to affect each other. Some Bonds even allow for the human to pick up some of the dragon’s abilities, though in your case it’ll simply increase the amount and caliber of magic you can perform without tiring.”

Elsa eyed the pants in Xan’s hands warily, unsure of how, exactly, the woman had managed to steal them without being obvious.

Midnight laughed loudly from her perch on Elsa's shoulder.

Midori shrugged, "I don't know...oh wait" Midori said with a jump and a smile "Do any of the following words mean anything to you? Seventeen? HiME? Asahi Beer? Gakutenou?"

Saber sat down and grabbed a beer "I can not take this level on confusion right now"

Shane smirked at the young girl. "Who am I? The name's Shane." Shane began to lean in towards the small girl before noticing that she was now pant less. She stood there for a second trying to take everything in at once. She looked at Gabrielle with a confused look.

"Hey, was I wearing pants earlier? I kind of forget that they are on sometimes...." Shane asked as she scratched her head.

Gabrielle looked down at the woman with an accepting look. "......Ummmm..............I think so? You have a nice stomach Shane! Forgetting that she said it out loud she covered her mouth. She looked over to see Xan with two things of panties.

"Is that them?" Gabrielle pointed. "HEEEYYYYYYY it's that cat with the big eyes." She said with her mouth open wide.

Shane looked over at Xan and strutted over without her pants on. She poked the small of her back since she only came up to a little under her shoulders. "Umm......hey slick...........it's kind of breezy here. Mind if I could have those back? Normally I would be okay walking around with my front hanging out in the wind but.........I don't want to catch a cold."

Gabrielle's face was the color of Midori's hair before adding "Ummmmmm..........that cat looks like a cotton candy filled with jelly in it's head. Just now thought about that." She walked over to Saki to make sure she was okay.

Johanna rolled her eyes at what happened and stood up from where she was sitting. She looked around and noticed Mai. She walked over to her and sat down on the ground with her arms wrapped around her knees. "Hey, what's going on now?"

"B-But! Shirley!"

Lucchini pouted like she was thirteen again. She sighed.

"Ok..."

Saki stared down at her lower half. She was completely exposed, pants gone and a cool breeze reminding her with each second passing. She ignored Shane's words totally, her head feeling hot and dizzy. Seeing Xan holding their pants, she muttered,

"Y-Y-You...Xan..."

She fainted onto the ground, mouth foaming.

Midori cocked an eyebrow.

"How do you know I'm seventeen? And how the hell do you have Gakutenou?! He's under my control."

Mikoto stepped away from the feisty girl and dismissed Lucchini by tapping her head with her monk staff. The tap sent Lucchini down on the ground with a loud thud.

The cat goddess laughed, "How about you and I spar some time. Then, we shall see who is the official bomb groper?"

Mikoto crouched down to get into the Luuchini's eye level, who was on the ground.

"You seem like you have a lot of fight in you. For you to get so worked up over a pair of melons... that must mean Shirley is your sweetheart!""

Midori's jaw dropped "You're also seventeen and control gakutenou? Reincarnation or not that is pretty amazing"

Saber chortled under her breath "She's older than that" only to end up getting a beer can thrown at her head "Ignore her" Midori said with a smile

Midori raised her hand to the air as she called "GAKUTENOU!" Materializing from a dimensional shift Gakutenou came through, "

"Oww! What the hell?!"

As she stared up at Mikoto, Lucchini's head throbbed in pain where she had been hit.

"A challenge for measuring? You're on!!"

At the question of whether Shirley was her lover or not, Lucchini nearly threw up.

"No! She's like Mama! Are you crazy?! Maria is my girlfriend back home."

Lucchini grinned.

"I'm not telling you about her's, those are mine too."

Being pulled into Shirley's hug, she spoke in a muffled voice.

"Taxes?! Noooo!!"

Midori's eyes widened and she gasped. Another Gakutenou stared back at her. She gritted her teeth. Activating the R.E.M., she shouted,

"Come on out, GAKUTENOU!!"

Out he came at the call of his master, his roar ear splitting.

Shirley laughed at her old friend's reactions, mathematics was never her strong suit...let alone remembering to pay taxes and filling out the necessary forms,

but Mikoto was jealous "Hey now kitty god," she said pulling her into the hug as well "There's enough to go around...but these are just for rent, they belong to me and Trudy back home"

"This is so cool?" Midori said touching the other's Child, "just like mine...hey, other me"

Midori pulled-ahem-Midori in close "we could totally switch clothes and pretend to be one another and weird the crap out of everyone" she said with a sly grin

Standing back she summoned her labrys "Can you do this too?"

"Switch clothes?"

Midori snickered at the chance to mess with Saki.

"Sure."

She saw the newly summoned labrys, shaking her head.

"I only have these."

She held out her sheathed blade, drawing two swords out of what appeared to be one.

Kanako stood in tears, totally forgotten yet again. She sped over to Midori, waterfalls trailing behind her as she ran.

"Someone talk to MEEEEE!!"

Midori swatted her like a fly, sending her crashing atop Saki's still unconscious body, which was now twitching.
