No other Mashiro went from point A to point Z like Blan de Windbloom did. Her journey was a very personal one too. Not just becoming a better queen, but also a human being. Arika and Midori really turned things around for her.

exactly! It's that sort of character development that can really make a series...more often than not characters are bland or just unnaffected by there experiences.....*clings to mashiro*

Yeah, right!? I love the direction they took Mashiro's character in Otome as Mashiro Kazahana of Mai-HiME was as deep as a tide pool.
