I would assume from that scene...Shizuru sort of understood that Sanada was a hime like herself?

No problem! I'm on the verge of a Mai-HiME rewatch myself, it's been two years. :3 Though in a way I'm watching everyday, as I find myself through episodes for footage and screen shots.
