I didn't know much about Mai's family..
I am not going to say much due to not being in the know.
I will say maybe Takumi inherited his heart problem from the mother..
Since she I believed died not long after saving him.
It's just a guess, might not be a good guess..
I was thinking it might of been the cause of it.

Could be that possibility, Mai doesn't have that type of problem. This could go places!

Takumi and Mai's brave "mask" definitely took after their mother. Made me wish their father had a scene or two to solidify his character. I'm positive he was a lot like Mai when she wasn't putting on an act.
