Now if you're reading this Raven, tell us again; why did Haruka lose the election? Even though I felt her speech was fair despite it's toughness.

No man can tame Haruka Suzushiro, I doubt a woman could either. To me, she's Yukinosexual and Yukino is Harukasexual. They are one soul in two bodies and you cannot have one in power without the other there for love, support, and to contrast.

I assure you, Haruka and Yukino argue behind the scenes where we cannot see (i.e. Ep 2 of Zwei for reference on HaruKino relationship)

The thing is, since people can't SEE them discuss things due to their attempts at privacy then it is assumed Haruka makes all the decisions, when in reality it's both of them.

But, the students are shallow and would prefer someone 'easy' to handle, so Shizuru's laid back Nature and ability to be unconcerned won out against Haruka's GUTS! But Haruka still did most of the work as Executive Director.

I could go on... xD

In all fairness to the Natsuki-obsessed Kaichou; Fuka Academy wasn't run badly at all. But she did have the support of Haruka anyway, being the Executive Director. Without any HiME drama going on, the Student Council had everything pretty much under control. My only concern is the results; clearly decided by how much the students relate to Shizuru's laid back personality. Recall that bunch of dudes that were assembled in the Student Council room? Their excuse being that half the teachers are gone and there's nothing for them to do during this crisis or some shit like that. Then all of a sudden Yukino went...

: BATSHIT INSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE!!!

...to the points where it caught the attention of not only the boys; but Haruka as well. It's another example of Haruka doing all the work and proof that if Yukino attended the election speeches and spoke up, would she earn Haruka a few more votes? Possibly win the election? We'll never know but it is fun to speculate. :3
