Platinum Games' Bayonetta gets an anime adaptation from GONZO. Looks like it's going to be a feature film rather than a series. WHO CARES! IT'S A BAYONETTA ANIME! This makes up for the heartbreaking news of Bayonetta 2 being exclusive on the Wii U. Yes I'm not done "bitching" about that. When Nintendo forgets to do what's good for the video game business as a whole, my feelings become quite justified.

This is just a theory mind you; the trailer makes me believe this is a prequel to the original game. The film will be directed by Afro Samurai’s Fuminori Kizaki (isn't it kind of obvious?) Game characters Bayonetta, Jeanne, Luka, Cereza, Rodin and Enzo will appear.

The movie will be released on November 23rd in Japan.

O_o; Strange opinions. GONZO being in charge of the project is fine with me. We'll see when the time comes, but the trailer looks really good.

Might as well, Kino.  A movie shouldn't take up too much of your social life compared to a series.

 I'm just as impatient as you, dude. Bayonetta is one of those franchises I didn't expect to become an anime in any form. Now with a movie and the hints of yuri, I'm freaking out here! xD November feels so far off! The actual bittorent download release will be an eternity!

I enjoyed Escaflowne!   Nonetheless, Bayonetta x Jeanne is the number one ship in this franchise. I doubt Luka will interfere as some forced love interest.

:'3 I know, STOP REMINDING ME! Let's just pretend to bank on the possibility of GONZO making a Bayonetta series if the movie succeeds. The thought makes me feel all squishy inside~

12 episodes would be perfect for a backstory to the original game. Guess there's not much to Bayonetta's beginnings, which is fine, most was explained during the game's flashbacks with Jeanne. If anything, I wish the storyline of Bayonetta 2 was an anime rather than a Wii-U exclusive game. With Bayonetta and Jeanne dating as a cherry on my rainbow sundae.

Major anime companies and game developers would have to be blind to not notice fandoms in this tumblr/Twitter era we're living in. It's a smart business decision to capitalize on the demand for canon relationships! Sunrise Inc. responded to ShizNat by making them a couple from the get-go in Mai-Otome. *A* They even put Haruka and Yukino together for heaven's sake! We need more of this from Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network!Well, Nick is delivering gayness with Sam & Cat so far. BUT WHAT ABOUT KORRASAMI!?
