In order to stop the Valkyries power, Arika must destroy the power source which happens to contain her mother, Lena Sayers. There's really not much to say here, it's a powerful moment between daughter and a mother she never knew, but has great respect for. In my eyes, the hugging scene is Lena's spirit, expressing how proud she is of her daughter.

Easily one of the most highly requested scenes from Mai-Otome. Arika Yumemiya meets her mother Lena Sayers for the first and indeed, last time. Very emotional moment, especially when Arika inaudibly says "sayonara". And the embrace? Could Sunrise tug at the heartstrings anymore than that?

Also I'd like to point out that I have included subtitles for the Japanese portions. You read correctly, subtitles for the comparisons are BACK! :3 Enjoy!
