Agreed, Mashiro in Mai-HiME lacked charisma. Queen Mashiro is a lot more entertaining and most importantly, got to do something! XD I'd love to see fanart of her from you! :bounce:

XD Very bad, my friend. We have a fanbase that already can't either either Nagi or Sergay, and to mix them with Nina is just sinful. I love the idea, it goes against the grain. Just what this fandom needs. Variety.

Your favorites list is a nice one, but I wonder if you were disappointed with Mai's late arrival in Mai-Otome. I know I was during my first viewing of the series.

Yes... SUNRISE should've made Mai's air time a little earlier, as she only appears as a silhoutte in the openings and appears briefly on BACKSTAGE's poster before she is revealed... Still, when she arrived, she can kick ass!

Haha, yeah the silhouette was a dead giveaway. It made me countdown her return in the beginning. A result of how much I missed Mai-HiME while watching Mai-Otome for the first time. I'm sure many felt that way.

All the while, I was becoming a major fan of Arika Yumemiya so Mai was out of the picture. Mai did kick some serious ass in the last episodes, including Zwei. Her and Arika make a great tag team. :3

Yeah, although Mai Tokiha wasn't the main protagonist in this series, I admit (You can see it in my list) I liked Arika in this series. Mai became her "mentor" in understanding many things about being an Otome. (See episode 23) Yes, they DO make a GREAT TAG TEAM, as they have shown in My-Otome Zwei episode 1.

:D Mai-Otome is a lot more like Star Wars than I thought. Jedi train their entire lives in those non-canon novels and the prequel movies, only to end up sucking. Whereas Luke only trained with Yoda for like a few days and took Darth Vader down. Same logic here, Cat Goddess Mikoto probably taught Arika as much she could. Not that skill matters much for main characters in fantasy. It's all about heart. :3
