Shattered Angels was god awful. ^^; All these spin off/AU with Chikane and Himeko were a waste of my time. Why not a true sequel to Kannazuki no Miko, with the girls facing new challenges and having their love tested once more?

I don't remember if I finished it or just watched all the KaonxHimiko parts. Razz

And if you think that the KnM anime has flaws and it's not that good, then you should stay away from the manga...

I thought there was all this talk of a legit sequel? I still havent bought KnM yet I cant decide if its worth it to add it to my collection or not

Never read the Kannazuki no Miko manga. I have it on my hard drive and never got around to it. Is it that bad?

This is just my opinion: Kannazuki no Miko is a classic series. But it's not a masterpiece like say, Sailor Moon, Noir or even Ga-Rei-Zero. I consider it a classic for being memorable and even a landmark in yuri fandom, thanks to Chikane and Himeko's relationship. Even by 2012 standards, Himeko's confession of love for Chikane is one of the most sweetest and heartwarming scenes in any series. Made me forget that KnM just had a barrage of gundam battles for one brief, beautiful moment.

Bad is an understatement. It's simply dreadful, hideous, horrendous...you get the idea.
And please, don't compare the beautiful gundams to these poor attempt of mecha battles... >.<

Also I agree with the confession scene being one of the most wonderful and sweetest scenes I've ever watched in anime.
In fact, it was that what made me love this series.

Wait, if the confession scene made you love Kannazuki, then nothing before that moment was any good to you? I wouldn't blame you once bit if I'm correct, Kannazuki by today's standards, is yuri for beginners. o.o

Since the kiss on the first episode it caught my attention, and the drama was nice, how Chikane struggles to keep her feelings at bay and all that stuff.
And that particular scene made me love it more and made me take the decision of getting the DVD.

Chikane's struggle was the highlight of the series. You could raw parallels between her and say...a girl in real life who's struggling with her feelings for another girl. Some, not all, but some lesbians had that "everybody is telling me it's wrong! I CAN'T STAND IT! I CAN'T HELP HOW I FEEL!!!" and through Chikane, you can somehow relate to that personal crisis.

Yeah. It was awesome.
And it was more difficult given the fact that she was from high society, and so she had to keep with what everyone expected of her...
Maybe that's why she's my favorite character.

My first yuri anime was Strawberry Panic long time ago, I loved it and I continued watching yuri xD then I started reading yuri manga too buut I don't remember my first one.. maybe some random oneshot, Idk xD

It's probably one of the most difficult times to keep your self-composure (on the outside that is). Although a proud yuri fan will share that side with the world. x3

well... my first yuri was utena... I love the second saga, but the last... mmm

thats was frustiratng, removing the part of yuri (or subtext in this case) it's a very good anime.
Not because I do not like, but almost i faint...
although I admit that I love Juri Arisugawa...
and Utena and Anthy were a couple very rare, yet very endearing (I preffer utena than Anthy) is exasperating.

I don't remember I saw then, if Kannazuki no Miko or Strawberry panic
but that's another story...

Have you seen the Utena movie, Daichi? You'll get all the straight forward lesbian moments you want there. Sadly is comes with a price...the price of heavy confusion. :) You thought the series was filled with heavy symbolism? You haven't see anything yet...

I saw the movie and liked it, of course, know that Utena has many symbolisms and see it a second and third time... I enjoyed it much more...
to be the first anime yuri in my life, I do not think it was my best choice.
It is one of the best I've seen, highly recommended,
but it is the first time you have contact with yuri.. I recomend Kannazuku no Miko.

I don't really remember what my first Yuri-Anime was, but I think it was Strawberry Panic! and Kannazuki no Miko. And I don't know when it was.... :scratch: Maybe because I read too much Yuri-mangas, I forgot it
