Ladies and Gentlemen: It's re-release of Mai HiME Complete on DVD
Finally another re-release of Mai HiME Complete now on DVD, yes same old series with a different art box cover. It's not bad to make another re-re-re-release for the series one more time. Come the hell on Sunrise make this franchise for what is worth, also don't let Tate comeback whenever a HiME makes a continuation, Your making him look like he was worth something to the series.

While I love the new art box cover (SHIZNAT! RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER! SORT OF TOUCHING EACH OTHER! <3333), it's a disappointing release when you compare it to the expensive blu-ray set.
Perhaps Raven should of made her speech at the Sunrise panel much longer.

If they made a special episode or better than those anime fans who bought Blu-ray release are not going to be an happy camper

I don't really like the cover D8
It looks a bit too diffused to me, as though the designer wanted to give it a 'soft' look but went too overboard. The art is nice, however, but the color still bothers me.
It's too pastel-like for an anime with that dark of a theme.
But still-- there better be special features insideeeee

Only thing that's bothering me is why Tate in front cover, does it that tell me Sunrise has already forgiven his Seiyu or decided he's only Male character worth for Mai interest.

I think that signifies his importance to the plot or something. I mean-- he is important right? and he won Mai's affection in the end-- that's prolly why.
And what's with the forgiving his seiyuu? O_O please explain?
Re: Ladies and Gentlemen: It's re-release of Mai HiME Complete on DVD
I'm just confused as to why Chie, Aoi, Miyu and Shizuru are on the cover. o_O All the other people I understand but... If Miyu's on the cover, I think Alyssa should have been as well, or replace Miyu with Alyssa.
Re: Ladies and Gentlemen: It's re-release of Mai HiME Complete on DVD
there is no reason why Tate shouldn't be on the cover. if it wasn't for him, alot of stuff wouldn't have happened. and Deppy is right, he won Mai's affection, therefore, he is relevant for that alone if nothing else.
and i agree with Deppy about the cover. it's too... pale. needs more colour or something, idk. it just looks a bit bland. the art itself is nice, just the colouration is meh.

SUPPOSEDLY, Tomokazu Seki (Tate's seiyuu) gave away the planned ending to the Mai-HiME anime series, so Sunrise pulled a Montreal Screwjob and wrote him off in all future projects.
At least that's what I read, if only I could remember the source (and by source, I mean MM superstar) of this rumor. :)

Well it was Reito seiyuu who gave up the ending before the last episodes were aired, Tate seiyuu moaned and whine because his character didn't have more interaction nor had issues with Sunrise controversial ending.
Sunrise made the right decision on excluding him off the series but putting him on the front cover made me head itch so much and had a cold.

Maybe hints for Aoi and Chie to become HiME or probably will play a greater role to the next series or saga

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen: It's re-release of Mai HiME Complete on DVD
I loved the cover... This style of color attracts me a lot and I think it matches with Mai-HiME. And the characters on the cover... Hmm... I liked it that way. Tate & Mai are somewhat cute, like the others.

XD Kinda pointless since the answers are out in the open, but why not? :) Everybody should know backstage seiyuu information.

They do play a bigger role in Otome, but I still think that since this is a re-release of Hime, that more important characters for /that/ series should have been put on. Like Mashiro or Alyssa.

while I do loves me some Chie/Aoi action I agree that some of the more major players should have been featured such as Yukino and Haruka... and seriously we need some new stuff from sunrise not just repackaged DVD sets

Highly agree when Alyssa was a major key player in the Orphan arc.
: I won't allow anyone to mention Miss Alyssa's name except me. Beep.

: Mommy, I don't want to go to school today. I want to stay home and bake cookies with youuuuuu...*flops over*
Re: Ladies and Gentlemen: It's re-release of Mai HiME Complete on DVD
hm... the cover doesn'T look too bad, but only because of this I wouldn'T buy the box. Now, if there are more specials and extras... maybeee.
But it brought me an idea... *runs and makes a dvd-box herself*

About the extras, it should come with Kuro no Mai at best. Or if Sunrise wanted to get really creative, how about a motion comic of Natsuki no Prelude with Saeko Chiba and the others provided their voice talents.
Nah, that's more of a blu-ray caliber exclusive than a DVD one.

A full 40-55 minute episode prelude to the saga, that's all it needs Mai and the trio in a winter school semester when new evil is around them by the end of episode they'll have their powers again.
