Codename Sailor V manga
Those are very classic videos, Miss emo.
Mr. Sapphire instructed me to deliver the following to Sailor Moon fans:
>> The complete Codename Sailor V manga series! <<
It's the original manga story by Naoko Takeuchi (starring Minako Aino aka Sailor Venus) before Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon surfaced. The Sailor V manga scans are in the English language. Enjoy!

huh, well, isn't this interesting...I knew that Koneko-chan gave Takeuchi-sensei the permission to right about us...but this? I feel violated. -chuckled- There seem to be some fans of ours on this forum, eh? I'd better not let Minako see these last few posts...or else we'll never hear the end of it.

Thank you for the video clip, Miss emo. Sailor V is rather pretty.
Miss Minako is spoiled here, isn't she? Well, Miss Haruka, I can certainly honor you for the sole purpose of being polite:

I've watched the first couple dubbed seasons when I was around 8. I liked it well enough at the time which prompted me to revisit ten years later. I checked out the sub for the first season and I really loved it. A good portion of the five episodes that were cut from the dub are my favorites and the voice acting were much better. Sailor Jupiter is much more awesome without the "Peppermint Patty" voice. :) I've been watching other animes as of late but I plan to check out the other seasons soon enough.

You should definitely check out the rest. Sailor Moon gets better and better with each season. Hmm, maybe SuperS will throw you off, but once you get to Stars, prepare for the most epic experience you're ever gonna have.

I honestly love the Sailor Stars theme song more than the original classic "Moonlight Densetsu". Dunno why, I just do. lol
So I'm guessing your favorite Sailor Senshi is Jupiter/Makoto? Awesome choice. ^o^ I'm partial to Setsuna Meioh aka Sailor Pluto.
Re: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, PGSM, Sera Myu and Sailor Moon Crystal Thread
Yeah, I like all of the original five, but Makota is great for all her little quirks(he was the same guy who broke my heart...:)) and her voice actor match the perfect type of authority for her lightning power.

Sailor Moon to Return To The US In September
Kodansha USA announced that after a 6 year hiatus Sailor Moon will return to the US in September with all new volumes under its Kodansha Comics imprint!
KODANSHA USA ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF SAILOR MOON
Never-before-published Enhanced Editions of the Groundbreaking Manga Series Share Long-Awaited US Publishing Debut with CODENAME: SAILOR V
NEW YORK, New York - March 18, 2011 - Kodansha USA Publishing, a subsidiary of Kodansha, announced today the exciting return of Naoko Takeuchi's SAILOR MOON, one of the most significant names in comics and manga, to US publishing. Brand new deluxe editions of the acclaimed series will be released by Kodansha USA's Kodansha Comics imprint in September 2011. Out of print for six years, SAILOR MOON re-launches along with Takeuchi's two-volume prequel series CODENAME: SAILOR V, in print in the US for the first time-making this one of the most highly anticipated manga releases in years.
The SAILOR MOON manga, which originated in Japan in 1992 and debuted in the US in 1997, follows Usagi Tsukino, a young girl who transforms into super heroine Sailor Moon to combat evil and fight for love and justice in the name of the Moon and the mysterious Moon Princess. The first successful shojo (girls') manga release in the US, SAILOR MOON changed the book landscape and helped establish the foundation for the manga craze; in particular drawing attention to the popularity of comics among female readers.
Prequel series CODENAME: SAILOR V, the first of Takeuchi's "magical girl" manga, will make its highly anticipated debut in the US alongside the SAILOR MOON re-launch. In CODENAME: SAILOR V, teenager Minako Aino fights as Sailor V against the villains of the Dark Agency before she discovers Sailor Moon.
The Kodansha USA editions of SAILOR MOON will be published on a bi-monthly schedule and follow the 2003 Japanese re-release format of the classic series. The original 18 volumes have been condensed into 12 volumes covering the main storyline, and two volumes dedicated to short stories. Each volume has gorgeous new cover art, retouched interior art and dialogue along with extensive bonus material from Takeuchi, and detailed translation notes.
One of the most recognized manga and anime properties in the world, SAILOR MOON took American pop culture by storm, with mentions in music ("One Week" by Barenaked Ladies), bestselling books (The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot) and more. In Japan, over 15 million copies have been sold and the series has generated everything from animated features to live action musicals, a live action television series and countless merchandise.
"I'm very excited to reintroduce Ms. Takeuchi's work to her American fans," said Yoshio Irie, president and CEO of Kodansha USA Publishing. Irie is also the former chief editor of Nakayosi magazine in which the SAILOR MOON manga was serialized. "As we continue to build the Kodansha Comics manga list, a title like SAILOR MOON is the jewel in our crown. As the former chief editor of the work in Japan, I'm especially thrilled to finally release the prequel, CODENAME: SAILOR V, to the many fans who have been asking for it at long last."

I remember fully that Sailor Moon was my first anime (not Cardcaptor Sakura when I finally remembered). So great! I just forgot most of the characters' names and I just call them by what heavenly body are they representing... Like Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury and the others.

Before the Mai-Series, there was Sailor Moon. <3 I can remember all the character's names, both English and Japanese. You brought up Sailor Moon, that would be Usagi Tsukino. Or Serena Tsukino in the dub. ^^;;;
Sailor Mercury is Ami Mizuno.
Re: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, PGSM, Sera Myu and Sailor Moon Crystal Thread
I believe I also still know all the character names. I watched all the Sailor Moon episodes over and over again in german and japanese. I guess apart from Mai HiME this is my second favorite anime

I actually enjoyed the German dub of Sailor Moon, as opposed to the German dub of Mai-HiME. Kino karutta-chan was right, it was atrocious. ^^;
nao since you love NatNao in Mai-HiME, I'm guessing for the Sailor Moon Multiverse, you are either a huge Rei x Usagi or Rei x Minako shipper. :3 I'm also going to assume you already love Hachiru to death, so there's no need to bring them up again unless it's a fanart:
<3 Those two paved the way for yuri couples like ShizNat.
Re: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, PGSM, Sera Myu and Sailor Moon Crystal Thread
I love Hachiru yes and I love Rei BUT I would not pair her up with any random girl. I think I would have liked the couple of Mamuro and Rei and I love Hotaru. She's my favorite next to Michiru and Rei. I don't really like Usagi and Minako at all. If I had to I would rather pair up Rei and Makoto

Usagi and Minako doesn't make any sense, so I agree. Bringing up Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, I did enjoy the potential that Usagi x Seiya had. Usagi remained faithful to Mamoru, which was the right thing to do in the end. It made me feel a bit sorry for Seiya, though he may find romance with Kakyuu-hime. :) You never know.
Re: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, PGSM, Sera Myu and Sailor Moon Crystal Thread
I actually ship Seiya-x-Usagi to a small degree. I always sort of found their relationship to be a bit tragic to say the least. Poor Seiya's doin' all a girl dressed as a man can. xD there was definitely some romantic tension goin' on up in there. But Seiya caused that tension with a few people. Need I mention the dressing room scene? But as much as I do support Mamoru and Usagi, I rooted for Seiya for a while...because I had a soft spot for the rocker. x3

XD The dressing room scene was another example of Seiya being a pimp with the ladies. What led her (HIM!) to Michiru was that wave she felt during the concert performance yes, but damn, I'd follow Michiru anywhere too. Even for just a simple glimpse at her. Haruka will just pout like the uke she is.
Yes, I said uke. Haruka may be wearing the pants during the talisman, killing Hotaru, and stay-away-from-those-popular-males missions, but in bed, she's on her back. :3 Michiru in Stars was a strong precursor to Shizuru Fujino if you think about it. She really unleashed her semeness in Stars for some reason.

Hrm...yes and no to teh uke-ness of Haruka. Granted, Michiru has a hidden beast in her that even I would bow to given it appeared, but I still believe that Haruka is emotionally the stronger one in the relationship. She's always been a bit more reserved, holding her cards closer to her chest, whereas even though Michiru is hard to read, you can see where her priorities lie. Haruka's was, has, and always will be the first thing Michiru will be concerned about. Haruka, though she is incredibly devoted to Michiru, I think she's a bit more controlled in the idea that she understands her duty and tries her damn hardest not to let herself get carried away by emotions. So she's seme in that sense. Though I can definitely see Michiru taking Haruka by the reins sometimes, I think they've got one of those equal relationships where they have their moments. They've got their quirks that balance each other out, so it fits well. We see Haruka's jealously and hopelessness with dealing with it and men who flirt in general, and Michiru's somewhat scary devotion to Haruka. She's put Haruka above his mission so many times that I see the scary similarities to Shizuru in a flash. It scares me to think of what might have been had Michiru and Haruka been put in Natsuki and Shizuru's situations. I think Michiru's scarier than Shizuru in that way. Still though, I digressed. Though I will say without a doubt it's very fun to watch Haruka go all uke and flustered like, I still enjoy the idea of Haruka leading their relationship in certain standards.

I saw a bond that was really balanced in Sailor Moon S, which is what you're describing to me. After watching Michiru battle the Type Zero Daimon (and get seriously injured in the process) is the moment she decided to become stronger and fight for the same cause. Haruka made the choice to utilize the transformation stick. To protect the world, most of all, her world. Michiru.
In Stars, I think they made Hachiru seem a bit one-sided for fanservice sake. Then you witness the events of episode 198 (?),

As for Hachiru...I can't see them actually caring whether who tops or not. They're still beautiful, either way. :)
