But I wonder if any Mai-HiME/Otome figure looked kinda "off". From my collection, none of them look bad. I think it's because they're made straight from Japanese companies. :) Had the Mai-Series become more commercial and geared towards children in the States, thus resulting in figures by Mattel, we'd probably get ugly Shizuru dolls. :lol:

that's actually very true!! all my figures look fantastic... but my god, if Mattel or some other American company got a hold of the franchise... *shudders*

Um, the first and second volume of the manga, still wrapped in the plastic. That's it. =/ I wanna get rid of 'em and make a few quick bucks sometime in the future.

mine were all in plastic when i got them (i own all 5) and i immediately unwrapped the 1st one and started reading it lol. it'll be worth a pretty penny down the track, but i want to enjoy it more.

Lol, they're wrapped in plastic because of all the fanservice shots. That's how you keep minors from accidentally looking in bookshops. =P

I was about to open mine, but then I found a site where I could read the whole manga online. After that, I wasn't interested in keeping it anymore because reading the NatsukixTatexMai love triangle once was enough for me. (Hey, at least I read it. =P Nothing against Tate, I'm just a Shiznat and MaixReito fan.)

For me it's not so much that I prefer reading one over the other, but that books take up physical space, where reading them online takes no space at all. I'm use to reading books online by now anyway so it doesn't bother me. ^^

i like displaying mine except i have no space right now in the shelves so they're in a box. when i get my own room though, i will have a bookshelf with all my books, manga, anime, DVDs, and figures on it

Ooooh Nat-Tastic, hopefully my Natsuki will look that awesome when she's done. Gonna order some more tools tomorrow or so.

I was wondering do many HiME/Otome figurines have shading/highlights? The only one of mine that does is my AWESOME Mai. I doubt I will be doing shading on Natsuki since she will be my first and I don't want to fuck her up. I might give her biker suit a nice gloss though, I'll see how I feel about it when I get started (hopefully early next month).
