They don't involve Shizuru's dream, but perhaps the authors' dreams  

Hmmm, I haven't visited fanfiction.com in years. It's a trap!!! I can't sleep nor eat until I'm done updating on all new releases! Can't go back there!!!

But i remember that! The dream was in all fanfiction that happened during or post series. It is a key moment to connect stories after all!

I don't have any! Hence why I just don't go there! I used to have to put aside a whole week to read, and it would always put a dent on my schedule since I hardly slept! Then I would get all releases done and agonize over the ones that weren't being updated every 5 minutes! There's a reason I only go for the completed stuff, anime included. It prevents me to turn into a psycho!!

Agreed. Writing puts oneself into the works anyway, so the dreams are technically all in the author's head.

I'd say we're well past that point.  

I guess you're right, a lot of those chapters are numerous with endless walls of text. You're probably also like me in the sense that I take my time with fanfiction. To make sure I'm immersed in the author's rendition of Mai-HiME and it's characters.
