((Surprised we didn't have one of these. Title is self-explanatory, talk about the origin of your username.
As much as I love the name Kagura, it is not my original username for this site. 'Luu Sky Sapphire' is a simple play on Arika Yumemiya's GEM 'The Blue Sky Sapphire' from Mai-Otome. Arika, as most know, is my favorite character in the entire series. Looking back, I should of been called Anh Luu for short (and developing this love for the character of Anh Lu over time), but established names are established. Either way, it's me. ))

OK Acid Raw, I got the Acid from "Acid Burn" - Jonny Lee Miller - "Hackers", I used to love that film so much when I was younger, I think it's actually the reason why I got into computers. And I got the Raw from a late night talk show I used to watch. Short and sweet
Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
((My username "Amaya" I have because I loved the sound and the meaning of it. It's Japanese for night rain.))
Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
I got Lyon Dark from Loki Lyon which was from a Fairy Tail character. His name was Loki but he turned out to be Leo the lion.

Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
Chibi Rachy is an easy one for me. My name's Rachel, but back in high school my friends tended to shorten my name to Rachy so they all called me that. To this day, there are still quite a few people who enjoy calling me this. Chibi was used cause I look so young and I'm short anyway. I blend in easily with my students, making it hard for coworkers to find me if I'm sitting at a desk with them, and I look more 14 than I do 24. Out of all my internet nicknames, this is the one used second most often, DigiExpert being the first.
Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
((Ah, the origins of my name XDD I actually didn't set out to name myself after the ever awesome Midori Sugiura at all. The name I'm known as around the internets is "Midori Seppen," which is Japanese for green snowflake. Its a Takarazuka related name, since my favorite troupe is Snow Troupe and the color that represents them is green. (I have no idea why it's green... has anyone seen a green snowflake? XDD) When Luu made this forum and I joined it, I just shortened it to Midori, since there wouldn't be anyone else with a common name like that and that's what I usually went by instead of the full name. A little while later, I think after I actually watched Mai-HiME and declared my love for the Midori of the Sugiura variety, the Sugiura magically appeared next to my Midori XDD Luu added the 99 later, since its my favorite/lucky number and it would help search engines or something like that, I forget the actual reason. But there it is... how Midori Sugiura99 was born :D))

In my case it´s pretty easy to guess (at least I think it´s easy :D), just look on my icon and you will get the idea.
Some background info = Defiant is a name of a small but tough starship from ST: Deep Space Nine. I like her design, her battle style, her strength and of course the fact she is so fast she can rip herself apart :D
"She may have flaws, but she has teeth" - B. Sisko about Defiant.

((/o/ Might as well post about my username.
I'm pokemoneg and I first used that username way back in 4th grade, more than 6 years ago. It was on, I think Neopets when I first created it. It's not actually "pokemon-egg" as most see when they look at it but rather, "pokemon-E-G" See, E and G are my initials to my real name and at the time, I was a huge fan of Pokemon. I then got my DA account only 2 years later and chose the same username. So, if you search "pokemoneg" 99.975% of the time it's me; on pretty much any website that shows up in the results. XD I've always kept it since it was a sure way to identify me between websites and I wouldn't have to remember different usernames either.
For my nickname? Neg. Frankly, I'm not really sure why it was chosen. But I speculate it was because of chat. When you look at the last post in chat, the first thing you read is "...neg: BLAH BLAH BLAH NYANCAT" so I just assumed that's where it came from. And I like it. XD))

Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
I used to be a big Mega Man fan in high school, when I first started going online and needed a handle. To distinguish myself a little bit, I used both the Western and Japanese (Rockman) names. In places where that name was already taken (i.e., large databases like AIM or Yahoo!), I'd also stick 78 at the end (I particularly liked the music from MM7 and MM8).

Mine was from my favourite character Chie Hallard :D It used to be 'Shiznat's Love' but it sounds stupid after a while so I asked Luu to change it to 'Chie-sama' c: 'Chie-sama' popped up randomly in my head and I can't make up any other names D: Lousy imagination. Oh well ;P

((Hey this is pretty neat! What an opportunity to learn more about everyone. :]
Well "Vampirestein" came about 4 'n a half years ago when I started my deviant art account. That stems from a username the NCIS character Abby Sciuto uses in an episode for--- well, that's not important. It sounded pretty cool and I can't resist an upbeat geek.))

(( Like I pointed out in my Interview, Hollowed-Words came to me from my last name, Holloway. I shortened it to Hollow, but it didn't sound good as 'Hollow-Words' so I made it into 'Hollowed'.
And added the -Words because I would be writing.
nao that I think on it, Hollowed-Words makes it sound like I lie, or my words are empty.

Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
MidnightPersona comes from the Persona game series.
Particularly Persona 3 and 4. I choose it for me because I see the part of me I don't like as a 'Shadow' I gotta accept and I cannot avoid (Persona 4) and the midnight part comes from the Dark Hour that only certain people can be around in (Persona 3) that occurs at Midnight.
Also, I am a bit of a night owl and I am an actress, two things that added to me liking this name.
Online you may mostly see my old stuff as chaotcimoon08, though, but that's being phased out.

Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
My username's background is too obvious. Not unless you have the oblivious mind.
The username "The Fire Stirring Ruby" roots from my favorite character in Mai-HiME, and not Mai-Otome, who is Mai Tokiha and it happens that she was the protagonist in Mai-HiME. However, I saw other users with the name of Mai, so I thought, why not her Otome reincarnation's GEM? And poof!
The Fire Stirring Ruby popped in to this site. People who know me call me Ruby, a nickname born from the GEM (and it sounds better than being called Fire, it's annoying... for me!).

"Fire" is a name exotic dancers use. :3 Stick to 'Ruby-chan', it's cuter.
Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
The origin eh? Alright...
The original Kona name was a hella longer when I first used it on neopets-it used to be konamahamaru, which is an island of Hawaii. It sounded neat, it had NO NUMBERS, and it was free. So the nickname Kona came from that. I shortened the name to Kona after a while because some people would shorten it to Konama and...that just sounded weird to me. xD
After a while it just became my name-and I added the Ookami, which means wolf to the name when Kona wasn't available. The 'x' is also added at times, like in my FF.net account and this one. On dA though, it's Konam-and I'm so used to that nao that I answer to either Konam or Kona. xD
Kona's my real life nickname too-since so many people have my real name. I KNOW they're talking to me when they yell 'KONA!' So...yeah-it's just sort grown on me. x3 It became my nickname without me even meaning it to.

Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
My original name was "PsychoKat101" (for the newbs). I chose the name because all of my cats are facking crazy, but I love them either way. And the one-o-one is because That happens to be my second favorite number. Because PsychoKat7 just sounds fekkin' retarded.
I changed my name to Ribbon-chan since Kruger-papa (Hollowed-Words) always called me Ribbon instead of Kat due to an earlier conversation in the chatbox disscussing Ribbon-chan's origins. (Meister Tokiha knocked Miss Maria up. You know it's true!!)
So, Ribbon caught on with many others, so I said FAHK EET I'LL CHANGE MY NAME. And because some people requested me to. XD

hehe Meister Tokiha putting a bun in Miss Maria's oven... *pauses to imagine*
My name came around when I was creating my fanfiction.net account. I'd been going around the net as "Wuzzupy" (Think Wazzap?! spelt completely wrong and then add a -y at the end) for so long that I wanted something a bit more related to me and not me 4 years ago. (If that makes sense) At the time, it was a drizzly day in London, so I decided my name would have to be colourful and bright, hence Golden Sun. 13 is my lucky number, so I just tacked it on :)

I still call you, Kat. I will never refer to you as someone who had her dream rejected by the Z-pin wearin', mini-golf playin', sexually frustrated Gakuenchou. >_>

Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
my name Hildebrant is also my name on my fanfiction.net account, I put it on here to keep it easy to remember. I got it because I wanted to make an homage to a pair of famous brother painters Tim and Greg Hildebrandt, I just changed my name around to change it up and make it slightly original. I've been paying them homage because Tim Hidlebrant is responsible for my very first nightmare when he illustrated an image of the Green Fisherman from the original story of Carlo Collodi's Pinnochio

My username (also used on FFnet) is a combination of one my favourite game/movie characters and a section of my first name.

Re: Behind the Names: Mai-Multiverse Username Origins
so, THIS username was the first guy name from hime/otome to pop into my head. i should have used tate in hindsight, but ah well.
i figure since that is boring i'll explain another one lol. on most places (ebay and youtube and so on) my username is Savagenate77. back in highschool my friends starting calling me scribe (a new zealand rapper) because with a hoody on i looked like him (apparently? lol). and there was a fat dude in one of his video clips called savage. so they called me that as a joke, and it kinda stuck. since then i've just like it though. and nate is because my name is nathan, and the 77 is because i'm born on the 7th of july, 7/7.
i was actually going to use that username here, but figured i'd go with something more relevant lol.
