What kind of animation style do you want? -denotes difficulty at creating animation-
HiME Mark Project
HiME Mark Project: Start-Up Vista Orb
DISCLAIMER:I'm quite sure you could also do this with XP, but I haven't tried so it's at your own risk if you chose to use this tutorial on that operating system. Windows 7 is far more complicated, so I won't be doing that one anytime soon.
>U> Hey, did you ever think about customizing that boring ol' Vista glowingorbthingy?
How bout the HiME mark?
>U>
I did. And I'll show you how.
Instructions
I might also do a tutorial on changing the sound as well, but that's for later.
Have any questions?

>U> Hey, did you ever think about customizing that boring ol' Vista glowingorbthingy?

Instructions
- Download Resource Tuner (the trial is sufficient), and HiME Vista - Image Files
- Install Resource Tuner. Run Resource Tuner by right-clicking it and selecting "Run As Admin"
- Open C:\Windows\System32\authui.dll with all file types visible.
- Navigate to the IMAGE menu in the Resource Browser pane.
- Right click the 17000 through 17003 images and select Edit Resource.
You have to edit them one by one. - Replace each image with the corresponding altered one from the zip.
- Click the X and when it asks, save the library, then restart.
You might experience a slight lag during the initial restart.
I might also do a tutorial on changing the sound as well, but that's for later.

Re: HiME Mark Project
This seems like it'd be fun to do. If I had my old Vista laptop, I'd definitely try it out. I run Windows 7 nao though, so I can't. I never thought of customizing that button before XD

If you can bring your Windows 7 laptop to Otakon, such as Hollow is going to do, I could set it up for you in about 45-55 mins. It involves a bit of code so it's easier to do it in person than by a tutorial. XD

HiME Mark Project: Windows 7
>U>
Oh you guys and your upgrades.
I'm still using Vista~
I've figured out how to change the startup on Windows 7.
I had to get a pirated copy of Windows 7 to test it out but...
The animation is not done as of yet, but here are the things you need.
Win7Boot
.NET 4 Framework
C++ 2010 Update
>U> Will update when I finish the animation file.
Also, If you're gonna bring your laptop to Otakon, I can do it for you~
AND HOLLOW. YOU BETTER BRING YOURS OR ELSE. >:U

Re: HiME Mark Project
:D This is an awesome concept that, unfortunately, didn't work for me. Work with my laptop at Otakon, Neggi. ^_~

Re: HiME Mark Project
Got an update. Poll at the top.
Tell me what you want so I can get started.
The animation is 150 frames made by hand at 200x200 each.
Just so you know the specifications.

Re: HiME Mark Project
My pick is the last, HiME symbol pulsing with the lens glare rotating. It'll look the best and you could use a good challenge. ^_~

That's gonna take me forever to do. But I'll do it. XD
*cries softly in a corner*
Re: HiME Mark Project
Oi. I finished 15 frames. So here's what they look like.
It could use a little cleaning up, but so far so good.
And also, I'm gonna add the pulse animation to the loop frames since it's easier to animate that way and I don't know how to any other way.

Re: HiME Mark Project
Finished another 15 frames on the bus.
It moves alot faster in the actual animation.

I can imagine. <3 Despite the grounding, will you still do a livestream this Friday?

Re: HiME Mark Project
TADA~ I FINISHED IT.
It took me 3 hours to rework the animation, but it looks really good and works perfectly.
HiME Mark
Still doing final checks on the bootskin itself.

Re: HiME Mark Project
You know, that HiME Mark animation would work perfectly for a flood screen logo in a sprite game! To think it took so long to create though... but I can understand it, definitely; eish, the smallest things can take so long to put detail into sometimes.

Re: HiME Mark Project

Re: HiME Mark Project
I agree with Wolvy and Chie, the pulsing effect works. :3 It happened quite often in the Mai-Series I believe. Most notably whenever Mikoto's rage powers were activated by Reito. :3 BUMBUM! Mai's in danger! KILL KILL KILL.

Re: HiME Mark Project
... So, Since the animation is done, nao comes the sounds
So, what do we want?
I was thinking that I could make an Otome pack and a HiME pack of sounds.
Otome: - Basically each of the characters saying "Materialize!"
HiME: - Each character calling out their Child.

Re: HiME Mark Project
Interesting development! You should also include one-liners from each of the HiME. "Oi" and "Ikezu". We do have fans in the English dub department, so a possible sound pack for them would be nice. :) I can supply you with those.
Re: HiME Mark Project
I did plan on doing this from the start, but never bothered to really plan it out much.Luu Sky Sapphire wrote: Interesting development! You should also include one-liners from each of the HiME. Of course, any help would be nice. Especially since I don't have the english dubs anyway >A>;;;
Oh, yes. The one-liners sound like a good idea.
Re: HiME Mark Project
Sweet! Well, I don't have any Mai-projects planned for next week aside from a few YouTube videos, so I'll start recording one liners from the Japanese and English versions. I'll do my best to record sound bytes without BGM, those are better.
Re: HiME Mark Project
How about some materialization sequences with the different OSTs in the background and hearing the random sounds from the materialization itself? I have the OSTs :3
