Your ideal Natsuki

Before I ask the topic question, here's a quick tour of the Mai-Multiverse:

Four small examples of Natsuki within the Mai-Multiverse. Anime, manga, audio cds, Fanfiction, RP, they all count. Out of everything you've ever read or seen that featured our favorite blunette, which incarnation of Natsuki is your ideal one? Discuss, I'll be back with my answer later.

My ideal (official) Natsuki would have to be the HiME anime one.

She's got everything. She's a bad ass, she's a rebel with bad aim and a bad attitude and has a vendetta against most of the world. Then she grows and opens up and becomes cute and goofy and and friendly.

Her and Shizuru make a good team as well.


My ideal fanfiction Natsuki is...well...just any I suppose. She's a very strong character that can be manipulated and built upon.

Oh, if FF and doujin (doujin, too??) then I have to say that I prefer the Natsuki by Nanzaki Iku. Why?? Because Iku puts her so well into character, she is great in showing (in my opinion) Natsuki's real thoughts and her real character; just like the HiME Natsuki could have been, if we had even more scenes with her.
If I have to say FF, I maybe (not sure) would choose the "Siren of the Sea" Natsuki, because she just kicks ass and hates and loves and hates and loves Shizuru.

Works by Nanzaki Iku count too, Kino-chan! ;p Obvious?!

I'm going to have to be biased here and say Natsuki Kuga from the Mai-HiME anime. Everybody already knows why from my Why ShizNat page on ShizNat-Webs. She's the most three-dimensional character in the anime and then there's Natsuki no Prelude (which connects to the anime series) that heightens the greatness who she is. All the HiME had tough pasts, Natsuki's was a story of vengeance and darkness. Many of Natsuki's other incarnations from various fanfics faced obstacles they had to overcome in order to see the light, live happily ever after with theirs lovers (depending on who the author chooses for that role) or fulfill their ultimate destiny.

I feel attachment to Natsuki from the HiME anime for her perfectly established character. How could anyone adjust this character? She was so well written since day 1. Thankfully, she can be rewritten into something more intriguing (as we've seen in fan projects) and that makes her one of the greatest animated character of all time.

Lessee... I don't really have an ideal Natsuki in my mind. I never really thought about it. But I guess I likes... the Natsuki in "Natsuki the Magnificent" fanfic.

As for MY ideal Natsuki, I liked Manga Natsuki, I simply found her much more enjoyablely fun than her other incarnations.

Actually, the whole point is telling us what your Ideal Natsuki is, from fanfiction or manga or anime or one you make up on the spot.

Not like, her or anyone else's life story.

Ooooooh. Hahaha, no, it's just personal prefrence in this thread. You could make a new thread for it, if you want. I don't think we have that one yet. :) I'm sure it'd be popular!

I like Natsuki from the fanfiction A Perfect Circle. She tore a dude's face off, you guys. That equals so much love and respect from me. *Wants to be able to rip peoples faces off* >w>;
