Mai-X-Project Act I: Zero Hour Part 2 [Complete]

"ANNA-SAAAAAAANNNNNN!!!" Mako shouted, leaping up and rasing her nailed bat at the fiend holding the princess, the bat connected and knocked the monster off balance. "Let go of Anna-san right now, you big bully!"

“Fire, huh?” Kaltus murmured to himself with a smirk. “Now that I can do!”

He planted his halberd into the ground and brought his hands together until they were only a few inches apart. A shining ball of light rapidly formed between them, struggling to expand outward beyond Kaltus’ control. He held it, letting the flickers of flame build into jets streaking across the small ball of energy.

Once he felt he had enough energy built up, he thrust his arms forward in the direction of the eggs. The swirling ball of fire and Aether only made it halfway before it exploded outward, releasing a surprisingly large mushroom cloud over a mile into the air.

As the fire and energy passed over everything for several miles—with the chasm’s geology acting as a natural funnel—it destroyed all the eggs and rejuvenated Kaltus and his allies.

Kaltus frowned, however, when his boom-boom bounced off a shimmering shield that was protecting some of the eggs.

“That wasn’t supposed to be there…” He scratched the back of his head and scrunched his nose. “But gimme a bit and I should be able to figure out how to take it down…hopefully?”

Turning to assess his allies, he noticed that both Anna and Shane had…things attached to their faces. Since Shane was closer, he summoned a bolt of Aether and flung it at the strange creature. It caught the creature perfectly in the side, ripping it away from Shane’s face and pinning it to a wall, where it began to smoke and burn.

Seeing Anna and Shane taken by surprise, Kanako's eye widened like saucers, her body stiff and frozen in place for a moment. It only took one of the alien facesuckers to move a tentacle in her direction for her to lose her mind.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
Running hysterically in circles, Kanako screamed her rejection to being attacked like a dying whale.
"NOT ME, PLEASE NOT ME!!"

While Mako's quick thinking knock the wind out of the creature, it's tail twisted much tighter. It wouldn't stop until it violated the adrenaline filled red head.

"ERRP...HESSHH SSSSTILL CHOKINNNNG MEEEEEEE. HITT HIMMMMM AGAINNNNNNNNNN" said Anna, gasping desperately for air as she prevents the eager creature from devouring her face.

Shane fell over once again, hanging her head to the side like someone hit her with a massive boulder.

She huffed and heaved from the impact but was grateful that she was able to breathe. "Thanks, little dude." Shane said as she gave him a thumbs up.

"EEK! Anna-san! Oh no! What should I do?! Doushio ne?!"
Mako thought quick and hard on what would her best friend Ryuko do. Oh, if only she could help with that scissor blade of hers. "OH! The tail!"

Mako began to beat the ever loving crap out of the fiend's tail with her nailed bat. Mercilessly and brutally. "Let go of Anna-san! Letgoletgoletgoletgoletgoletgoletgo!!!"

Just then, Mako's bat splipped right out of her hands. It hit directly at the panicky Kanako's head, creating a huge lump in the teen's head.

Lerena wrote:Akihisa puts on his brave face and grabs that alien facesucker with his bare hands. He freaks out as soon as he touches it, but he works to remove it with all his strength. This is no time to freak out. His friend is in trouble!

The creature began to loosen it's grip because of Akihisa's brave (another word for foolish in this case...) act.

"That's it! You're...doing....it! COUGH! COUGH!"

This spider creature began to turn it's attention towards Akihisa, attempting to get his face instead, Luckily, he had quite the grab on it's legs and tail. Massaging her throat once more, Anna yelled with all her might, "THROW THE LITTLE CREEP, AKIHISA! QUICKLY, SO WE CAN RUN LIKE SVEN DURING A CARROT HARVEST!!!"

“On it!” Kaltus called, easily calling another spear of light to his hand and launching it at the foul creature.

Sure enough, his spear hit its mark; impaling both it and the other facehugger against the wall. If the first one wasn’t dead yet, it certainly was now.

Summanus rumbled lowly as an admittedly beautiful mushroom-cloud erupted from a chasm not far from where they were. Then growled when the unique stench of dead and rotting corpses hit him full in the face.

Elsa gagged from her position on his head, completely unused to such an unsettling scent.

Best get used to it, Iceling, Summanus rumbled into her head. There’s more of that where we’re heading.

“Hold tight, cargo,” he rumbled aloud to his, well, cargo. “We’re diving!”

He then dove straight for the chasm without really giving his passengers a chance to get their grip, chuckling at the squeals and curses this produced. He waited until the last possible moment to spread his wings, rapidly—and jerkily—slowing their descent.

He landed on the upper rim of the canyon with a loud thud as his cargo offloaded.

The bat connecting with Kanako's head, she fell unconscious, eyes swirled and mouth finally shut.

"I wonder of that was an explosion just now..." Saki muttered.
"Whatever it is, we need to be ready and careful." Midori replied, gripping her sword.

Natsuki looked all around the area below them, her hair blowing in the wind. She had to push the long, blue strands back so that she could properly see. Her green eyes was trying to find the source if the strong Hime signal.

She finally got a glimpse of someone. Red hair. Natsuki's eyes widened into big saucers with amazement. "Nao, she made it. She's alive." Natsuki's shifted and tightened her lips together.

"Duran!" Natsuki yelled as the mechanical wolf materialized below her. She looked back as Shizuru before jumping onto the Duran's back.

"Let's go!" Natsuki said as she descended to the group below them.

Oscar felt a bit sickly due to the flight. As a soldier who stood in the face of danger all her life in France, she secretly enjoyed it. It's a shame her body didn't agree with her.

"I'll repeat myself...flight is most certainly a spectator's sport."

Pulling herself up, she looked down at the strange chasm. Her beautiful hair becoming wet from the downpour. Not that it could ruin her seemingly perfect profile. "Mighty Summanus, might we ask for a more suitable way down? For those of us that lack in sorcery?" smirked the Frenchwoman.

Shizuru jumped into the air seconds after her Natsuki, using her Robe to fly after the woman.

Elsa snorted at Summanus’ blatant disregard for his passengers, forming a thin veil of ice to cover the lower half of her face in an attempt to filter the stench of death.

It was only mildly successful. Still better than nothing, though.

"I can help with that." Elsa replied to Oscar before the cranky dragon could fire off a retort.

Heaving a sigh, she straightened her spine and stood, forming a spiraling staircase of ice from the ledge Summy rested on to the ground of the chasm below them. The ice glowed slightly with her magic, illuminating a small area round it.

For her part, she forewent the staircase entirely in favor of sliding upright down the steep slope of ice right next to the staircase.

The stench was definitely worse down in the chasm, and she was almost certain she could feel Summanus chuckling at her in her head.

"Thank you, your Highness." replied Oscar as she made her way down; careful with each step. Elsa's sorcery made have created something aesthetically pleasing to Oscar's sapphire eyes, but one could break their necks if not careful.

"Hmm, I wonder why Mademoiselle Natsuki went ahead so early. Mademoiselle Shizuru following closely behind. Guess I wasn't imagining things, they do have "that" kind of relationship in their world. The future moves forward; I admire that."

"Alright then! Here I go."
Speeding down the stairs, Midori landed with a hard roll, saluting Elsa she she stood up.
"Thanks for that!"
Cautious as ever, Saki tested the staircase with the pat of a foot before slowly descending, glaring at Midori for being so reckless.
"What?" The red head asked.
"Quit being stupid." Saki retorted. She also gave their dragon chauffeur an annoyed look for his careless landing.

"Meow!! Neko-Kami Mikoto to the rescue!" The cat goddess shouted as she jumped off of the dragon's back and landed her feet on one off the monsters.  

"Hey, scythe wielders first, kiddo!" Rezetta as she jumped off of Sam and ran down the icey staircase, loading up her gun scythe.

Mako Mankanshoku looked at the new characters approaching them, "Wow, are they on our side? Sugoi ne, right, Kanako-chan?" Mako spotted the other Japanese girl with the huge lump and bat still embedded on her head. "Hey, Kana-chan, it's not nice to steal things from people you know. I know my bat looks cool and everything but get your own, geez, HAHAHAHA!"

With little effort, Mako took the bat off of Kana's head, making the lump bleed profusely.

Natsuki jumped off of Duran and landed into a puddle of water, splashing it all over herself. The rain had plastered her blue hair against her face and the drops of water was making her skin shine. Her vision was so poor that she couldn't see anything in front of her. Not even a little bit. She could sense the signal getting closer but she couldn't make it out.

"Who are you?" She focused in on all of her senses, she needed to use her best hearing for this one.

Natsuki's instinct got the best of her, and she got her pistols ready to fire. "I don't think I'm dealing with an ordinary Hime." Natsuki gripped the hands of the guns and started charging forward. Trying to find the whoever it was that was giving off the signal.

"There's no where to hide!"

"Mako...why?...."
Kanako mumbled, streaming tears

"Thanks a bunch for getting the nasty bug off me, Akihisa! YOU SHALL BE KNIGHTED BY ME RIGHT NOW! I've always wanted to do that! I would of done it with Hans, but he would of lost a lot more than his head...heh...HEH....heh..."

Anna drew her magic sword from her soaked sheath and placed it gently on the young boy's shoulder. "I, Princess Anna of Arendelle shall knight thee as-"

At that moment, a vision caught Anna's eye. She stood there, the freckled faced giggle pants, mouth dropping like a ton of bricks at the sight of her sister. "Elsa? ELSAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

Before running off to greet her sister, Anna ran back to give Akihisa a kiss on the cheek. "We'll continue this later, big boy~~~~~"

Anna slid down the steep chasm, though because of poor footing, she starts rolling down. "Waaaaaaaaaah!!!!"

Her rolling body forms into a ball, rolling off a rock shaped plank which sends her flying into the air where she hovers over her sister.

"Your Majesty! A flying...Norwegian girl is gonna crash into you-huh?!" cried out Oscar with confusion, not even bothering to offer any kind of defensive strategy.

"MOVE IT ALONG PEOPLE! I'M GOING TO SNUGGLE TACKLE MY SISTER!!! Don't judge. Just...don't....WHEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

Opening her eye slowly, they nearly popped out of Kanako's head as she looked up.
"Why hello there, white lace."
Mako didn't seem to notice as she retrieved her bat.

The sudden appearance of an icy staircase—and a supposed Queen gleefully sliding down an ice ramp like a kid—drew Shizuru’s attention away from Natsuki. She took a moment to marvel at the power this young—seemingly untested—Queen held, before glancing back up at Summanus. She hardly knew the flying mountain well, but her certainly seemed to be fond of the young Queen, if the amusement in his massive platinum eyes was anything to go by.

“ANNA!” Elsa cried in pure joy, immediately forgetting all about the stench as she raced to catch her sister.

Elsa caught Anna, but lost her footing temporarily, causing the both of them to fall backwards. Thankfully, Elsa’s magic acted on its own and created a nice snowpile behind the Queen to cushion their landing. Elsa rose quickly, dragging Anna with her and crushing her in a hug.

“Anna! Oh, Anna!” Elsa cried as she held her beloved sister tightly, fingers threading through red hair. “You had me so worried!” She pulled back briefly to look Anna in the eyes, fully intending to scold her sister for causing so much worry, only to stop dead when she realized several things at once.

First, Anna’s hair was down. Which she loved. Second, Anna had new clothes. Very flattering new clothes.

Never have pants looked so good… She was disrupted from her rapidly wandering thoughts when Summanus fairly cackled on his ledge, clearly watching them.

Elsa blushed and cleared her throat.

“Don’t ever scare me like that again!” She then pulled Anna back into a crushing hug.

"Eh?" Mako kneeled down at Kanako, worried about her.
"Um..Kana-kun? Your head is bleeding and so is your nostrils."

She pulled out something from her pocket, "Here, this is a Hi-potion, it can heal you in no time! Drink it!"

Mako left Kanako the potion bottle and went over to Anna reuniting with her big sister. Huge droplets of tears nearly gushed out as Mako watched on at the touching scene.
"Oh, Anna-san! You've finally found your sister. I'm so happy for you!"
