It's not unheard of for guys to like Mai Hime though, my good friend actually introduced me to the series and he's a guy who loves it too.

Well, from what I know, you have to go to the AMV contest, which is a ticketed event (but the tickets are free, you just have to wait in line for them). Once you get the ticket, you go to the event and they'll give you a ballot there where you can vote a "best of" video for each category. ^^

And that's good to hear, usually in other forums, resurrecting dead topics is against the rules. ^_^

Yeah, Im a Digimon fan too.... I have a whole collection of anime I love, Mai Hime is one of my tops along with Digimon and Katekyo Hitman Reborn. I make AMVs of all these series. I've been editing for well over 9 years now...actually, going to be 10 years this year. Mai Otome is great too, but for me, personally, I just like Mai Hime better. ^^

And yes! I'm hoping for a new series. I still watch the fake Mai Hime/Otome movie trailer in hopes that...it'll be made for real...one day. lol
