A quick hello and some thanks.

Well, I guess this is a bit unusual. I'm not necessarily posting to stick around for too long - I've kinda dropped off the internet radar. But I don't have many ways of getting in touch with people because of that. So, because this seems to be a pretty active place for HiME fans new and old, I figured this was a good way to stop in and say hello.

I was a fanfiction writer back in "the day" and wrote a fairly popular collection of HiME fics. Antipode, The Kyoto Hunt, and Mai Kisaki were the big ones. I kept in touch with a lot of my readers via an old livejournal account, which has since been deactivated.

I do see a lot of familiar names around here, though!

In any case, I occasionally get a random urge to google "myself" or one of my stories to see what's gone on in my absence. Still being read, apparently. And so many nice comments posted around the HiME hotspots - even on TVTropes! It's all extremely flattering and I'm so glad people are still enjoying the stories.

There were a number of links to this place, so I just wanted to say... thanks so much! And I hope you're all doing well. I always have trouble sharing things that I've written, so any comments I received for fanfictions gave me warm-tingly feelings inside and boosted my confidence. And I apologize for falling out of touch, but let's just say that life wasn't so kind for a while there. I guess I just feel super-guilty for not being around to say "thank you" to anyone who's complimented me.

I've been devoting most of my creative energies into original fiction these days, and had a prominent agency interested in a novel which I've been revising, so hopefully that goes somewhere. Heh, it's odd to go back and read something like Kisaki and compare it to what I'm doing now.

Still occasionally do fanfiction, but I've moved into another fandom, which you seem to also embrace.

I write under a different name on tumblr now, though. Incognito.

So, just wanted to pop in and say hello and offer you my sincere gratitude for all the nice comments that get thrown around from time to time. I'm honestly surprised people still read all that stuff.

This is all way too nice for me and my general grumpiness.

Er, uh....

I mean, Who gave y'all permission to use the term Archmeister for Shizuru, huh? Did you think I wouldn't find out? Royalties!

I'm shezaei-neko, but here they call me ShezNek. I've written some fics too. :3
I have to say I enjoy reading your fics. Those ones you wrote 'back in the day' (as you put it), were amazing. I still like to read them from time to time.
I'm happy to know that you're doing other projects, I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

And here's where my shameless self comes in. OMG OMG OMG!!! HI!! I love your fics!! I think Antipode and Kyoto Hunt are the first and second Mai Hime fics I've ever read xD I remember reading them on Shoujoai.com and then I got into the ShizNat fandom coz of it.

So yea, WOW. HI THERE *waves hand shamelessly

*cough cough*

Ahem. Anyway, yea, it's great to have you here. Just a lil warning, we're a bit insane...but in a good way xD Hope to see you 'round the forum!
