Alyssa Searrs and Miyu Greer: Their relationship

Whether a friend or a soul mate, there is always that one special person you cling onto for support, love and guidance. Someone you can learn a lot from and always be nurtured by. It's a different kind of relationship, a very special bond between two people that can never be broken.

Thinking about the final events of episode 15 does put me into an emotional state. Miyu and Alyssa did indeed try to eradicate the HiME resulting in a tremendous confrontation between Artemis and Kagutsuchi in space. Forget about that for a second and truly focus on Alyssa and Miyu as beings with souls. Feelings and compassion for each other and aspects of life.

Mai Tokiha was correct, both of these individuals were so beautiful outside of the Searrs Foundation ordeal. They may shut everyone else out of their relationship, but it's because it's a very deep and sensitive relationship. If the slightest thing happened to Alyssa, Miyu would rush to her side immediately.

I feel like this about someone here, even though she is capable of taking take of herself too. But when you're two of a kind, you can't help but look out for one another and the stronger of the two feels he/she's honored to watch over their Angel. Because with Miyu and her golden angel, the roles have reversed. The Angel is being protected, by an artificial being. A machine. Capable of understanding the value of life.

I think it is so sad that Alyssa died..
I think Miyu is not a evil robot-human-thing per se, just, she was there for Alyssa. That Alyssa was doing evil things was not her fault.
Evil or not, I think Alyssa and Miyu have the greatest bond without being lesbian or whatever.
There's this guy who i told about mai hime, and Alyssa and Miyu. He says Miyu is a pedophile-robot-lesbian.
I don't agree with that, i think their bond is just really deep, but not that they're lesbian.

Neither do I. ^^; Miyu is the protective and kind mother that Alyssa never had. Joseph Greer didn't really give a rat's behind about her, and everyone else just saw Alyssa as their artificial Valkyrie. Miyu saw more than that with Alyssa's sweetness and beautiful singing voice. It has nothing to do with being lesbian, neither have even hinted at that kind of love. Fanfics and doujinshi may say different, but it's not canon as a romance.

Mother is God in the eyes of a child and the only mother-type Alyssa ever knew and will always know is Miyu.

Alyssa and Miyu felt strongly about what they were doing against the HiME and with everything collapsing in front of them, you don't get the sense that they're monsters like Obsidian Prince Reito. They're kind hearted beings who care for one another.

Besides, Alyssa is such a cutie no? Miyu is pretty hot for an android, even though I don't like her hair style very much. XD Can't all have beautiful hair like Natsuki. I also enjoy Miyu's unorthodox and aggressive fighting style, holding off three of the top HiME is rather impressive. Her programming unleashes all kinds of surprises to take down the opposition. All for Alyssa's sake. :)

And, that guy who tells they're lesbian says so because of what they do, like Alyssa telling Joseph that Miyu is her 'important friend' and the part where they're fighting Natsuki, Mikoto and Mai, when Alyssa brings her mounth to Miyu's ear, to whisper something, He says she's kissing her.
Also he says that in the part where Alyssa just summoned some orphans and miyu tells her that she thinks Alyssa still isn't well enough, Miyu looks horny or whatever.

Since I have to wait for my dinner to heat up, I'll waste time with a counter attack. He thinks Alyssa calling Miyu her "important friend" is a sign of lesbian affection. *shakes head* Emphasis on the word: FRIEND. Then there's bringing her mouth to Miyu's ear. That would mean, if this guy watched Mai-Otome with their gemstone kissing...well, I think he'd have a field day.

Miyu...horny? I'd be surprise if she even knew what that meant. LOL More like concerned, whatever happens to Alyssa becomes this alarm of worry for Miyu.

Precisely. It's because of this some of the Miyu x Alyssa hopefuls would allow sexual activity to occur between them. I usually never read those stories. ^^;

As far as the whole lesbian thing, Alyssa is way too young for that to even be a possibility. Just because they have an extremely close relationship and Miyu obviously cares for Alyssa as much as a cyborg is capable of doesn't mean there has to be sexual attraction there.

I am of the opinion though that if Alyssa grew up to an age that were appropriate, they could have had a beautiful loving relationship in that sense. But as they are now: NO LESBIAN PEDOPHILES.

And yeah that whole Miyu being a cyborg thing XD

I admit, that an age appropriate Alyssa with Miyu would make for very beautiful and stimulating fanart. ^^; However, given that Miyu is a motherly figure to Alyssa, I can't even accept a romance between them. It would be a little strange...

Have to credit the SEARRS Foundation for the quality that went into Miyu's programming. Those who honestly believe the Miyu Greer who fought the HiME in episode 15 is the same Miyu who got turned to stone by Yuna in the future, can see she always remains in top form. What a record for energy power, topping Terminator's 120 year energy cell. o.o

I like Alyssa/Miyu. True, Alyssa needs to grow older, but that's why I age her in my fics. And seeing as how Miyu is a robot, it's perfectly reasonable to have her age with Alyssa, replacing parts and such to they can remain the same age throughout Alyssa's lifetime.

As much as I love yuri and femslash I prefer to think Miyu and Alyssa have a very strong platonic relationship. It's not a step down from lovers just different.

And you should of been there when the three of us pulled a Bash at the Beach 2000. I pulled a Russo and wasn't fired, w00t! @Magus Phantalus: It's different yes, albeit uncomforting (this is not a real word says Firefox!) for some fans. To me, Miyu x Alyssa is a relationship that is so exclusively special, we can never truly understand it. That makes it special to me.

Hmmm, If Miss Alyssa played a role then it's the Montreal Screwjob II all over again oh Miyu is just a sacifrical jobber waiting to be buried. That means Lena Sayers is the Triple HHH unless Mai Tokiha is in par. Only one thing Russo never pulled was retirement funding. I think Miyu should start that immediately when she's out to pasture.

That will take longer than you think, my friend. Look at what we can officially consider, the final chapter in the Mai-Series anime canon; Zwei:




Notice how Miyu towers over four of the top Otome in the entire world without exhaustion. She literally no sold the after effects of Yuna's petrification. Yeah, you can argue that she is an android and all, but it just makes the others look pathetic. Maybe this was Miyu way of erasing the fact that she was taken out by Yuna first.

@_@ Okay, back on topic with Alyssa x Miyu's relationship please. Thinking about Miyu's politics makes me want to throw up in my own stomach.
