Why are Mansuki fics taboo?

Everybody is hating on Mansuki lately, you notice that? They claim, "Well Natsuki can't be manly because in the show Natsuki was all femminine and she didn't wear loose clothes and she collected bras and yadda yadda yadda."

To this I reply.

WHAT.

Are you really going to sit there and tell me that riding a motorcyle, having a gruff voice and naturally taking the alpha-male role isn't manly? At all?

Ok. LOL.

So what's the beef with Mansuki fics?

I agree with Kara. ^^; Making mountains out of KOTCS Gopher hills.

Natsuki is feminine (mega underwear collection that is nao sparkles thanks to Panty-Orphan, hello?), but that side of her rarely surfaces throughout either series.

If you don't prefer "Mansuki", simply look elsewhere. :) You have to admit that a rugged Natsuki is more entertaining. Girlie Natsuki is just for those (hopefully well-written) ShizuNatsu moments.

Hahaha, exactly. You don't like it, don't look at it. Some people just have nothing else to do but complain about it. I mean, if you hate Mansuki so much, go make a large number of fics where Natsuki's girly, whatevez man.

After a bit more investigating, I have also read that whenever authors write Natsuki in "Mansuki" mood, it is "completely OOC"

o_o; Sorry, I call bubuzuke on that. Why does Natsuki's canon personality have to immediately be shipped over to fanon? Even a non-bitter Natsuki in Mai-Otome never lost that tough-as-nails attitude. Only time you can truly speak up about her femininity is when Shizuru is being seme with her or when you see her private collection or wearing something like, I dunno...this?

Ahh, true, true. But, this wasn't from Natsuki herself, it was just Shizuru's opinion as to what Natsuki seems like to her. Of course, liking pink dresses and stuffed animals is a bit girly...

I think she could be interpreted either way, then. I mean, if you were one of those people who never watched the omakes until you watched the english dub because you didn't know of their existence until you saw them at the end of those episodes, then you would've never seen this and more than likely had a slightly different view of Natsuki. :)

I don't think canon Natsuki is girly but she is definitely not manly either, she's just a tough girl really, and I have seen girls like that in real life, they can very feminine but they are also very dominant (in terms of doing guy things better than guys). And that's what I like to see in fan fics Natsuki. I tend to avoid manly Natsuki, yes I'm a mansuki hater, beat me.

Also I like the idea of Natsuki in a suit and tie and what not, so long as she still has long hair.
