Here's something I borrowed from a new friend. :D























From what I'm told from various sources, this is fanart. Damn beautiful, don't ya think? It could easily be confused with anime footage. Perhaps something Sunrise kept for themselves. Yeah, I'm very impressed with these. Makes me wish the drama cds were animated. *pouts and shrugs* Can't get everything in life, but I'm still free to Regina George. So yay me. ^_^

Worth every penny. ^-^ I only have two doropanda tours doujin that I got from Yahoo Japan for my birthday two years ago. They're not that expensive if patient and look hard enough, but I would like to get them cheaper at the next convention I visit. If they have any available that is. I also have to catch up on my Sailor Moon and Noir doujinshi. lol

still...they should've at least made episodes when Shizuru, Natsuki, Mai, etc all actually attended the school. They kinda wasted the Zwei eps just for Arika (like always), Mashiro (like always) and Nina (like always) B|

That's our Shizuru. ^_^ Natsuki may be her most treasure person, but she is also her play thing. :lol: Puppies do like watching people have sex (okay, this is not sex per se...), so maybe that explains Duran's reaction. o_O

XD I think the Sunrise director thought Mai, Shizuru and Natsuki had their time to shine already in Mai HiME. I do agree that Mai HiME should of just continued without making a whole new series. In Mai Otome, I immediately became a fan of Arika. XD You find her annoying, I know. lol To me, Arika is incredibly awesome! My feelings for her aren't romantic, more like I idolize her as a super heroine type. Overcoming all odds and all that cliche stuff. Mashiro grew on me as she developed her character throughout the series. From brat to caring leader, thanks to Arika's support and inspiration from Midori's leadership. Didn't care too much for Nina though, but I felt sorry for her in the end.

Back to ShizNat, you have to be right. Those drawings are way too official looking and could of been worked as an anime series. ^^; I'm surprised Sunrise hasn't gotten to work on another Mai Otome prequel after My-Otome 0~Sifr~. To show how our beautiful Headmistress and her graceful lover got to know each other better.

As for Mashiro...yea to that as well. At least in the Anime she was kept as a girl. I was told that in the Manga she's a dude and was digging on both Arika and Nina O.e

and lastly...still agree for the Meeting of the Graceful Amethyst x Ice Silver Crystal came to meet and develop their relationship... So far, there's only proof of their relationship growning through Donjinshi's [I might've spelt it wrong >.<]

lol Like I said, only Arika fans (if there are any besides me...) would appreciate what Sunrise did with her. She's the chosen one, ala Star Wars. The one who would bring peace to the entire nation of Kingdoms in the Mai-Otome universe. If ShizNat were focused on in Otome, that would deviate from the main storyline. Since Arika's epic story ended in Zwei, we could examine ShizNat some more. <3 You know, there are fans who believe the Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome universes are one and the same. I can't swallow this just yet since it doesn't make any sense. You know Sunrise, they constantly tease. So if there are any hints and coincidences that the two universes are one, it's because some staff member thought it would of been funny to add them. Nothing more, nothing less. With Sunrise you never know what you're gonna get. Like a box chocolates! XD

I haven't read the Mai-Otome manga yet, but from what I've seen, Mashiro looks older and has powers of her own. O_O; Um, did you just say she's a dude?

I didn't like the Mai HiME manga as much as the anime, although it did have it's moments. Shizuru did express interest in Natsuki, but it could of been better. Natsuki was 100% straight in the manga, showing a lot of interest in Tate which boggles the mind. Tate isn't a bad guy or anything.....STILL!

I just researched the Mai Otome manga some more....just wow. Mashiro as a boy hiding his identity. Gee, that seems kinda familar...

LOL I saw it immediately when Arika and Sergay. Him calling Arika an ant brought back memories of Mamoru calling Usagi "odango-atama". Or Darien calling Serena "meatball-head" for the dubbers. >_>

XD I don't think a short attention span has anything to do with it. The manga simply didn't click with you like the anime did. The dynamic character relationships of the HiME was missing, that hurt the manga a lot for me.

XD You probably expect me to chew your head off. Shizuru and Natsuki do look great together, they're a picture perfect couple in every drawing. I read some of your posts and while I don't agree with Shizuru being a psycho, I do agree about Shizuru Viola being a more comforting choice for fans. The Mai-fans who weren't comfortable with her actions in Mai-HiME do favor the more tame Viola in Mai-Otome.
