NatNao... what is the deal?!

ok so if anyone knows me, they know i HATE HATE HATE NatNao pairings. it's not because i don't like Nao, i do! she's awesome. but i see Natsuki and Nao being more like... sisters? in a relationship.. dynamic wise they are both too dominant and moody and would kill each other in the end.

so my question is, why are YOU *as in everyone who likes it* interested in it? i'm not gonna be a flamer on this one i'm actually curious and open to the idea of what everyone has to say.

p.s. ShizNao is better

For me, I only like NatNao on occasion, and because I think they are similar in ways that they are both more rugged and urban. Both have tragic pasts and similar qualities.

it does feel a little strange to read doesn't it? i felt that way too when i tried it out then when i found ShizNao i got all giddy. maybe it's because i would like to see Shizuru happy... hmmm

Shizuru's happy with Natsuki too! Haha, I know what you mean, with Natsuki there's also alot of drama and tension, but with Nao it seems cute.

you have never read the comic i just put up? it's funny at that part the ShizNat kids make Nao call them by their first names because she only calls them by their lasts.

ok back to NatNao, so that's why you like it. i mean the people who write it write it very well, it's just when i read it it feels like chewing on tinfoil to me.

I agree, when NatNao is written well, it still feels strange, like Natsuki's getting it on with her sister or cousin xD

In my opinion, NatNao doesn't work. At all. What's the connection these two have in Mai-HiME? The fact that they both had rough pasts? That they know each others first and last name? Not enough. Yes, they do have that friendship chemistry, I will not deny that. The various times they ripped each other, especially in the Cake Wars episode. But that's not even close to what Natsuki and Shizuru had, which leaned more towards passion. Natsuki dating Nao would almost be like dating herself. Nao's aggressive behavior aside, these two are too similar to have a successful relationship. Never date a clone of yourself, you will be bored so fast.

NatNao could work in Mai-Otome a little better since Nao's personality was altered into more of a suave prankster than a bitter diva. In the end, Natsuki belongs to Shizuru and only Shizuru. Still, that doesn't mean Shizuru can't have herself a spider queen's face in-between her legs too. ShizNao FTW!

*examines* No idea who the artist is. Whoever she is, her anatomy skills are up there with Charcoal. I'd rather see these colored if ever possible.
