^o^/ If there's any series I'm a bigger fan of than the Mai-Series, it's Sailor Moon! So proud to have a thread dedicated to Naoko Takeuchi's legendary classic! IMO, the greatest anime/manga series of all time.

OMG, the re-releases of the manga are freaking amazing! When I saw Codename Sailor V at Barnes & Nobles, I knew a new era had begun for Sailor Moon. The manga quality is so much better than the Mixx pocket manga of old from my childhood. :D AHHHH! HARUKA AND MICHIRU WILL MAKE HEADLINES SOON! But for me, the most exciting release will be the first Sailor Moon manga of 2013....with SAILOR PLUTO ON THE COVER! Setsuna Meioh is my all time favorite next to Usagi herself. <33333

It does! Codename Sailor V is a tad cheesy as a prequel, but it's Minako's origins. That alone makes it a worthwhile purchase.

MUCH BETTER!

I grew up during the prime of Sailor Moon's career. Experienced both Tsuki ni kawatte oshioki yo! and Sailor Moon Says first hand. DiC really screwed up on dubbing the series back in 1995 and onward, but I have to thank them for making it a presence in North America. I was one of the few who watched the Japanese version first! XD The VHS tapes were RAW, but they were my most watched tapes in 1994. haha!

Ugh, Cloverway's dubbing for Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon SuperS were awful. Not pieces of shit like Funimation's DBZ (when FUNi sucked. Thank Fumi for Fruits Basket, it turned the company around).

Some voices from the Cloverway dub were okay. Remember the whole Sailor Saturn/Sailor Moon/Mistress 9/Pharaoh 90 confrontation? They were actually trying and it was pretty emotional. Other than serious moments like that, I'd rather listen to the Japanese version.

Not SERAMYU DVD Dx Sailor Moon Anime DVDs...I got mine from the internet *sobs* and I think they've never released the SeraMyus on DVDs...most I know the releases are either in Laser Discs or VHS tapes, until of course, the most recent 2000ish ones.

Just gonna let any Moonie on my forum that I plan to do a series of yuri one-shots for Minako x Natsuna Sakurada from Codename Sailor V. For those who don't remember the manga, Natsuna is the superintend-General of the Metropolitan Police and the biggest Sailor V fangirl! :) It's gonna be an AU series as the romance will include a third in Katarina. Minako's old friend from the anime canon.

It will be a ten part series. Look for it on the MM Lily Garden forum and mayyyyyyybe ff.net. Maybe.

The idol group Momoiro Clover Z, publisher Kodansha, and creator Naoko Takeuchi announced on Friday that a new anime adaptation of Takeuchi's Sailor Moon manga is being produced. The new anime series is aimed for release next summer, and Momoiro Clover Z will perform a theme song.

Momoiro Clover Z made the announcement during a live event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the manga. Momoiro Clover Z sang the first Sailor Moon anime's theme song "Moonlight Densetsu" at the event via a live video feed from France, where they are guests of Japan Expo.

Update: More background information added. Although Kotono Mitsuishi and Tohru Furuya, the voices of Sailor Moon/Usagi Tsukino and Tuxedo Mask/Mamoru Chiba in the first Sailor Moon anime, were present at the live event, the event did not specify that they will reprise their roles in the new series. The event also did not specify which song Momoiro Clover Z will perform as a theme song of the new anime.
