Yeah, I wrote a book, but it isn't published... quite yet. I'm tyring to find a good publisher at the moment, actually, but I'm a little nervous about it being rejected.
The book is about a girl who loses her mother and is sent away by her father so he can deal with her greif. She lives with her aunt in the middle of a mountain range away from society and while she is there she struggles coping but meets a ghost of a girl who formerly lived there and they become really close friends. Its about how the two girls help each other cope in their lives even though they are both on very different sides. Yeah... I wrote it this year, its almost 300 pages, and it was originally for a school project, but has become something I am actually quite proud of.
By the way, my fanfiction name is also ShatteredHeart98.

WoooW! That's amazing ShatteredHeart! I love the whole setting and plot. Seems very intriguing! Sounds like something I would like to read.

The summary of your book is very interesting. In fact, it's a very classic theme which we've seen in the past but anything slice of life with the supernatural theme is a sure winner with me. Personally love that kind of storytelling. Your story sounds almost like the 1996 Casper film, although I'm guessing here that your story will be very serious with no humor? Not that it would matter if that were the case. As long as the story and character draw in into their world, sky's the limit. When your book is published, let us know immediately. *bow* Thank you very much.

Thanks Elinore and Emockick. Its not really that great, but I guess I never thought I would actually finish a novel manuscript, so it is quite a step I've anyway. I'm glad you both like the sound of it. If it does become a published book, I will be sure to let you all know.

Thanks a lot, ShatteredHeart! You know, once you get started on a great story, you can't stop. Before you know it, you created something grand. You're probably the modest type, but I must know, what do you think of your story? ^_~ Authors hate this question.

You're welcome. Yeah, its true. I have a lot of fictions on my laptop at the moment, and most of them are 100 pages plus becasue I just can't pull away from them :)
That's a tough question... As always I have to say that I don't think it is anywhere near perfect and I should have gone back through a few more times to check for any mistakes, but... I guess for my first story I think it is an achivement, but mainly because I didn't think I would ever get this far with it. I have to admit it, I do like my characters because I made sure they were all different and defined in their own way, but I honestly don't think this book is anything special because it is just an Amateurs work and I'm sure I could have polished it better.

Well, I say the same thing to many authors. The day you think your work is brilliant, you should quit writing. In a nutshell, believing you could polish your story more is the key to success. In many ways, your stories of tomorrow will surpass your older ones. Since you feel the story you want published is amateurs work, that tells me what you'll write next will blow readers away. ^_~ Humble with a strong confidence, you are quite the rare species. X3
