Let's help each other getting stuff!!
Well, I got this idea from another forum that is mostly about all types of figures.
So I thought that it might be nice to have it here.
I'd like this topic to be about websites, stores, blogs, anything that you know about that may have good offers or maybe figures you'd been looking for but haven't been lucky enough to get them, or are wary to use a website you are not familiar with.
Even as a guide as how to purchase or search in those websites. So, if you see that there's an offer in a site, you can post here the link se we all can check it and see if it is the gold chance we've been waiting for to get it.
And aslo, why not? Even a guide as to how use a 3rd party to get you stuff.
What do you think? I hope this will be useful to all of you.
So here is my first contribution to this topic.
The Store MANDARAKE is located in Japan and offers lots or new and used merchandise. (Sadly most of their doujinshi are Yaoi, but don't let that stop you)
I found this in the Mai-Hime merchandise. If you always wanted a Shizuru Viola or Erstin/Tomoe action figure from the Atelier Sai, here is your chance.

http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-952689.html
You can obtain Shizuru for only 1000 Yen and Erstin for 400 Yen. Just remember that if your purchase isn't more than 5000 Yen they charge you 500 Yen for handling. So even with it, you can get Viola for 1500 Yen + shipping.
If you have any trouble with the conditions and stuff with the site, post here your doubts and I'll be happy to help you as much as I can. :3

Re: Let's help each other getting stuff!!
I use this one: 舞乙HIME or this one 舞-乙HIME
Try with all the possible combinations if you use a - (dash) it can give you more results or less, it really depends of how they have registered the item in their data base.
Also I suggest you to search using the japanese characters. :3

Re: Let's help each other getting stuff!!
This time let's talk about using a 3rd service party to get stuff.
As some of you may know, sites like Yahoo Auction Japan is like a gold mine regarding figures, collectibles, doujinshi, etc. Unfortunately, none of the sellers send overseas and you think: bummer! I was this close to get it! and then you go and sulk in a corner, cursing the universe for your bad luck.
But guess what? It doesn't have to be that way anymore!!
Thanks to the 3rd party service. How does it work?
Well, simply put, you contact a member of this 3rd party service, send them the link of the stuff you want to get and if it is a bidding, you let them know what's your max bid and that kind of stuff. If you are searching for an item that is sold in stores but they don't send overseas, you can let them know too. So this person bids for you and if you win the item, they stock it for you for a while, in case you want to continue getting more stuff, so this way you save shipping costs. Otherwise, you just request for an immediate shipping. This service is offered by some forwarding service companies when you don't know japanese and need help with getting stuff.
Some companies handle this by giving you a virtual address where you can send you stuff, they stock it for you and then they send it to your country.
Quite easy uh?
HOWEVER, the only bad side on using 3rd service party is the FEE. It varies according to the item and stuff. Every 'provider' has a different fee, so you'll have to check before hand.
This is IMO, a good alternative to get stuff you want and that is quite difficult to get, also if you don't have anyone in Japan to get it for you.
Here are two that I know of:
I haven't tried this one yet, but they look very reliable: TENSO
This other one is one I've been using frequently and has not given me any trouble so far: Ash Japanese Doujinshi
If you have any question regarding the second link I provided let me know. I'll be glad to assist you. :3
