Another manga recommendation!
Today's turn is for this one.

Otome Kikan Gretel by Sudoo Kaoru.

Plot: Yuu is a girl that's it's quite happy to enter to a all-girl highschool, since she hopes she'll live among maidens and enjoy their beauty. However it doesn't go out as she planned. She discovers that the girls at school have unique abilities they use to combat against some sugar addicted fiends. One of her room-mates and team-mates to be is not very pleased with her, while the other doesn't miss the chance and starts to court her right away. Yuu will sure have a difficult time there, or does she?

The moment I read this manga I didn't doubt to buy it. I enjoyed the silly-ness of it. It made me laugh and I liked it a lot. It had its funny moments, it's ero moments, and of course a bit of action; it was well balanced.

I loved the character design and the art; the girls looked amazingly cute, hot and cool. It's hard not liking one of them.

This manga certainly has it's light yuri moments, just some border-line, nothing explicit *yet*. But are nice enough to keep you craving for more.

Unfortunately, there's just one volume out and the story is on hiatus. I don't know when it will be continued, but I'm patienly and hopefully waiting for it.
However, it has been translated, so you can go and read it now.

I thought this manga was discontinued?

Anyway, I remember this manga stood out because of how much the premises was just like the beginning part of Mai Hime.

When I was reading the scans, I never saw any kind of note from the author saying that she would stop doing it or anything....
I'll have to check on that.

And how is it like in the beginning of Mai Hime? o.O

A girl arrives at a school only to find out she has magical powers and has to battle strange monster creatures terrorizing the land.
