Re: Mai-HiME Episode 25: The Moment of Destiny
This is the time where Mai meets the Obsidian Prince, Reito Kanzaki and he offers Mai to become the next Crystal Princess, right?
And the best part of this episode?
Shizuru and Natsuki revealing their true feelings for each other!
*Sometimes, I think what would happen if Mai accepted Reito's offer to become the Crystal Princess. Any ideas what would happen?*

The most powerful moment in the series for me. Natsuki's greatness skyrocketed in that episode.

We would have a lot of ReiMai babies. :3
Plus the world would of been a dark, miserable place with Reito ruling everything.

I once read a fic where Mai accepted Reito's offer and the world did indeed become a dark, miserable place but it also had Natsuki, Shizuru, Shiho and Midori forming a resistance, terminator style. Dunno what became of it but, if Mai had accepted Reito's offer, it would have wound up becoming a world I'd want nothing to do with

Haha, it does sounds like an interesting "what-if" story, give it that much. :) Reito always rubbed you the wrong way, we know this. Still, I can also say I'm glad Mai didn't accept the offer? It was kinda established that the Carnivals always ended the way they're supposed to: Tragic with no point of return.
Mai ended this traditional sick game and at the end of the day, the fire blasts were in the bad guys, not them.

Yeah it is an interesting What-if story, and yes I know how I go on about how much I don't like Reito and sorry for always sounding like a broken record but yes I'm glad Mai didn't accept the offer and ended the vicious cycle before it brought another generation of HiME into a world of misery. She also did it with the best way possible: By Killing it with Fire!

Kagutsuchi blew that sumabitch into oblivion!
What I don't get is, even though she ended Carnivals for good, what happened that led into the early years of Mai-Otome? Sunrise will hear from me, again, at Otakon this year.
If Mai-HiME Destiny isn't an anime series, we riot!

Yeah that's also some great potential story material right there, like somehow another carnival started up or some other great tragedy occured between the end of HiME and the beginning of Otome, like way way way before Lena Sayers was ever in action. I hope Sunrise does clear up some questions for you. I'll just be at Otakon shopping around my artwork and hopefully getting some commissions.
Mai HiME Destiny as an anime. Well I'm sure it'll have an audience, dunno if I'll be one of them but who knows

Lena Sayers herself is a mystery. I'd like to witness how she got started as an Otome. The biggest fanservice they can do for a Lena Sayers origin story is having it prophesied that Arika will bring peace to Earl. Very Star Wars-y, I know. Despite what Lucas says, Luke is the real chosen one. It's all about the off-spring, dude.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if you pass up on a Mai-HiME Destiny anime. Though Tate won't be in it, consider it a miracle that Sunrise even considered making a new Mai-Series. See it that way and you'll find some way to appreciate it.

So, Mashiro was in fact the hime of Kagutsuchi!
I wonder who the other 11 hime girls were before Mai and co?

We'll never know! That's one of the things that Sunrise should do, a prequel to Mai-HiME featuring Mashiro as the lead. I know that sounds strange on my part as I've often criticized Mashiro for being vanilla bland and boring, which she is. HOWEVER, there was a tragic and epic story to be told during her run as HiME of Kagutsuchi.
Re: Mai-HiME Episode 25: The Moment of Destiny
We'll never know indeed!
Sunrise better think of some damn prequel.
Will it be depressing and dark? Of course.
Still, you can't help but wonder...

A Mai-HiME Prequel should be dark, imo. Natsuki no Prelude was a dark story, piecing together elements of the Mai-Series mythos we didn't see before.
Re: Mai-HiME Episode 25: The Moment of Destiny
aww the kiss is sooooo kawaii in this episode!!! she is all like " i love shizzy" and shizzy is like " awww" and natsuki is like~~~~chu
Re: Mai-HiME Episode 25: The Moment of Destiny
Woo! I've been waiting for this episode!
- Spoiler:
- This episode is very personal to me. I was mindblown when Natsuki told Shizuru about how she felt towards her. Because what she said was exactly how I felt towards that one girl who fell in love with me. And after I saw the entire show for the first time, I had thought over and over about Natsuki and her life, and I was again surprised how similar we both really are, and then on Natsuki became my twin, my alter ego
Mikoto as well reminds me a lot of myself, when I was a child, so she too is my alter ego, but Natsuki takes the gold, no contest
