Sadly, there won't be much action for Kill la Kill until the OVA comes out. Or until more merchandise is released. I feel so pathetic checking AmiAmi every day; in hopes of a Satsuki figure showing up. ;A;

I wasn't sure if I had enough thoughts on the series to bump the thread, but looks like I do. XD I added more content to the post than I had in the 'random thoughts' thread. The new content is in the "Other thoughts" tag.
Just finished Kill la Kill. The ending felt rushed, but the entire series made me feel strange, the last episode especially. I have just one thing to say that must leave my system (actual spoiler under the spoiler tag so tread carefully unless you've seen the entire series):

- I have never felt so strange for nearly crying over the death of a talking outfit.

- Other than that spoiler bit, the entire series was a bunch of WTF in one package. I constantly found myself wondering what I was watching, yet I kept watching until the end. The soundtrack could be better, but I like some of the OST. Ragyo is too ridiculous to actually be afraid of, but somehow she is now my most hated female antagonist of all time. Nui is second on the list. And let me tell you about Nui. She is irritating. She'd be first if Ragyo wasn't one of the worst mothers there is.
Kill la Kill is also one of the first series, maybe THE first, to pull off making me hate when the protagonist turns to the dark side temporarily. Maybe that's because Ryuko was my favorite character in the series, which let me tell you is a huge accomplishment for the writers. I usually don't like the protagonist much. However, with the main antagonists being who they are, I actually preferred the good side for once, and Ryuko and Senketsu were a big part of why.
I didn't like Satsuki at first, but over time I started to enjoy her character. I wish everyone got a more appropriate ending though. As the episode hit half-way point, I had a huge feeling the ending wouldn't be satisfying. It's even less satisfying than how my favorite series ended. I'm glad it was a good ending, but it could have been better.

Eh, the voices aren't too bad. Most of them could be better though, EXCEPT for Nonon's voice. As one person put it, her voice actually sounds like the Japanese VA just changed her spoken language. I agree with that person. Mako's voice also suits her, so I'm not sure her voice could be better than it is.
Senketsu's voice, however, should have been a little different. Maybe slightly deeper. It kind of fits, but eh...I got used to the sound of his Japanese voice, so I could be biased.
Overall, I wasn't impressed by the English trailer, because they pronounced certain things strangely. At least, to me they did. I'm not completely sure if they did badly in that department or not, because sometimes I learn how to pronounce names wrong and then when I hear their real pronunciation I want to criticize the actual thing. Still, I heard "Senkets" instead of "Senketsu" in the trailer and that threw me off.
The Mankanshoku family also appeared to have a slight change in family name, which I didn't notice for a second, but I'm almost certain that the average American would have had trouble pronouncing that last name and so I'm not surprised they may have changed it. I'm hoping they actually changed her last name, because I definitely didn't hear that "ku" at the end. I always pronounced it with a "ku" at the end like it's spelled in Romaji. I hope that's correct.
The actual dub might be better than it sounds according to the trailer, but personally speaking, I will probably stick to the subbed series.

Now I have one thing to look forward to regarding the KLK dub: Todd Haberkorn is going to voice Iori. Since Todd did some works with Funimation, I can definitely trust this guy
