Hana to Hoshi

Hey everyone! I'm sharing a new Yuri manga  that i just finished yesterday called "Hana to Hoshi" (花と星) or "Flower and Stars" in english. It's a very, very short series, only 11 chapters long and is very comedic yet also has its serious moments. A quick summary: Sawako Hanai is a high school freshman who once played ping-pong and was considered to be one of the best, however, she quit after losing to another girl named Shino Hoshino for all the years they competed in tournaments in middle school. On the first day of school, the two run into each other and end up in the same class, much to Hanai's anger, as she is still very pissed at Hoshino for ruining her passion and reputation, and as such she also constantly perceives everything Hoshino does and says to her as having a condescending and indifferent tone. One day while the two are in class, Hanai tries to get Hoshino to wake up, and as she tries, Hoshino half awakens and tries to kiss Hanai, who then falls on the floor. The next day Hanai asks her why she tried to kiss her and Hoshino doesn't remember, but says that she was dreaming about Hanai. Hanai tires not to think to deeply about this and walks off, saying dreams are just dreams while Hoshino blushes while watching her walk away. It's actually a pretty cool little slice of Yuri and comedy, my only problem with it is simply the fact that it's too damn short, especially if you end up really getting into it like i did.

Hoshino looks like Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh a little bit too (just with blonde hair) lol

It is 11 chapters, the last chapter says "the end" and it's status is always listed at complete with only 2 volumes. I wish it was longer too, there was so much potential that just fell flat, and that's the only thing that pissed me off about the series.

I read this yesterday (this morning), well 9 chapters of it and really really liked it. I am bit conflicted since I like all three characters, they are all a bit crazy in their own way :3 But I am pretty sure that Hanai and Haru-chan will end up with each other, especially after the last two chapters. I am looking for chapter 10 and 11 right now, so shh :3

They're all out and I'm finished reading the series. I don't really have a lot of words to describe it and the only one that really pops in my mind is: cute.

But I really wonder what has happened in haru-chan that made her transform.
