Mai HiME Special: Kuro no Mai Saigo no Bansan in HD

I just found this video recently, technically, yesterday, in YouTube. I hadn't watched it yet, since my computer's been reformatted ((Thank goodness!))... Hopefully, I will get some insights from the video from your comments. Enjoy!

The title is Mai HiME Special: Kuro no Mai Saigo no Bansan (No black dance Nishigou Bansan).

They turned everything Reito and the other "evil" characters did in the series, and all of their manipulation, and all of the pointless murder resulting from their actions into a comical punchline.

Or was the Festival Arc never actually supposed to be taken seriously and always supposed to be a comical punchline?

Well, Ruby, as you can already tell it takes place after the Mai-HiME anime series. Something we've all wanted for quite some time now. Sadly it was only reduced into comical fluff. When the HiME started to get serious, recalling back to the Festival arc, it felt so awkward. Mai breaking the ice and all, I blame her. ;p

I got over my disappointment with the cute shenanigans that soon followed. Reito took everything they could dish out. Did I mention Shizuru paid more attention to Reito than Natsuki? It was awesome. :)

If I'm going to guess this, it's 2 years later to the Festival arc.

LOOK AT SISTER YUKARIKO, HER BELLY'S GONE! Plus, Mikoto gets to wear a High School uniform!

Yeah, Reito was surely eating some HOT STUFF! Shizuru is a plus factor with her vegetable!

XD Too bad, I enjoyed preggo Yukariko and her nagging. Mikoto looked so cute wearing the High School uniform. :3

Love it =) Not for the comical stuff though because I liked the Drama in Mai HiME. I didn't like how in the end everything was good. But then I am happy about every new Mai HiME stuff. In this one my fav were Nao and Natsuki. Well don't take me seriously I'm on a strange Nao-trip

Also Akane and Miyu were there also. I suspect a friction and rivalry between both of them. Makes me a want to do a fanfic.

Yeah I guess. I always was a shiznat girl and somehow I didn't like Nao...and now...AND NOW I LOVE HER!

i used to hate shiznat. luu changed my mind a bit so they are okay now.
i dont like natnao tho, i cant see them together at all. Nao deserve someone better

Is your current Nao-trip reflected in the later chapters of your fanfic story, Takane no hana? Even though it's a ShizNat-fic according to the description. Just wondering before I start reading it. ^_~

Yes, it is my first time. I wdas just surprised seeing this 'coz I was about to download My-HiME episodes when this video was shown in the resluts page..

XD Don't get me wrong, it doesn't matter if you watched it late. As long you finally saw it, that's all that matters. In fact, it's better if some fans miss out on a few episodes from any series. They spark new discussions that way. :3

I saw the one with Mai talking about her big Melons ages ago but didn't really think anything of it. Didn't think it was part of a wee mini series special thing. Just today on a private site I was looking to c if they had any hime stuff n I found the full special series plus an otome special. OMG I'm sooo happy to be able to watch new Mai HiME/Otome stuff (well, new to me)

My thoughts:
1) Natsuki looks good in crimson.
2) Shizuru should wear a bikini.
3) Yukino is terrifying.
4) I'd do the exact same thing as them.
