AoiTakumi Romance?

One thing that recently caught my interest was the possibility of Aoi and Takumi in a romantic relationship. I know this may seem borderline canon as Aoi did have a slight interest in Takumi when they first met in the Mai Hime anime, but as far as relationships go, I didn't see it progress beyond a slight friendship. (and the only canon Takumi pairing I know of is Takumi/Akira)

I think it would be interesting to see if the Takumi/Aoi relationship turned into a romantic one. What about you?

((That is definitely a possibility in the Mai-HiME universe. The problem is Akira Okuzaki, I think her and Takumi are already way past the canon point as a couple. However, let's say if Takumi never met Akira or if Akira never existed to begin with. We can assume Aoi is straight in Mai-HiME and only sees Chie as a friend, I can see something working out between your crack ship.
