Let's not get ahead of ourselves, ShezNek. It's just a theory...borderline conspiracy. If Sunrise wrote into canon that Mahya is secretly in love with Akane Soir, I wouldn't be a 1/4 surprised. Just think, a vivacious young woman like Mahya having a strong sense of duty? She strikes me as someone who goes against the grain like crazy. This is beyond just fulfilling Five Column duties to me. Or maybe it's just me and my crack shipping ways just wanting Mahya x Akane together. Not officially, as it's established that Akane loves Emperor Kazuya. Instead, I'd like to see a sequel series (Ribbon-chan era...) where Mahya confesses herself to Akane, only to go through the the cliche unrequited lesbian love moment. It would be a loose homage to Shizuru and Natsuki from Mai-HiME's history making 25th episode, only played for laughs.
