Haha! Good point, but in all seriousness, Natsuki obviously knows Akira. When Takumi turned to green sparkles, Natsuki was shocked to hear it was Okuzaki. On top of that, Natsuki did watch Akira get carried away following the first Mai vs. Mikoto fight. And...yeah, that's all we get between the two.

Not enough in my opinion. Anyway, it leaves you to think what would happen if the, well, communicated. You know, recognized each other as individuals and learned that they could converse.

On that subject, things could of been worse for the Mai-Series if you think about it. Yes, they could explain events talked about ande never get to see, but both HiME and Otome aren't confusing. They're both very coherent series (the anime incarnations anyway) with great stories and characters.

Still, it remains a beautiful puzzle with several pieces missing. x_x
