Chikane x Himeko is better, I agree. Shizuma x Nagisa was a sappy couple too, but in a way that wasn't beautiful. Himeko's declaration of love for Chikane is difficult for anyone in Strawberry Panic to top. One of the most memorable scenes in anything yuri anime related.

Gahhh! Ga-Rei-Zero. Brilliant series, depressing Alien 3 ending. ;_; Yomi x Kagura was a beautiful tragedy.

I've seen some cosplayers of Nagisa and Shizuma and I always tell them that they rock!
Fortunately also my parents haven't asked why I have so many female characters in my figurines. And much less ask about my ShizuNatsu collection.

Well not every possible yuri couples have tragic destiny...it's just CLAMP flair to give drama with each couple that they has owo if no drama, its not interesting right?

One bright example is Souma and Kendappa-Ou from RG Veda, they have a possible bright future with how CLAMP put them in the TRC storyline.

There's more to come me thinks, so dont lose hope yet.

You know, I don't know anything about those particular CLAMP titles, but when you mention tragic yuri couples, I 'm convinced most fans like it that way. Tragedy between a yuri couple is often hailed as "realism". Ga-Rei-Zero is a prime example of happily never after.

Bad as in "Aww, darn! Missed Opportunity"-bad or "They must be homophobes..."-bad? I always thought Sai and Kaede from Angelic Layer were canon...

I can mention gay couples that really can be canon in CLAMP titles, but they have never announced officially that they are. But the fandom already takes care of it and makes lots and lots of fan-art/doujinshi and fanfic.
Sadly most of them would be yaoi but well, the yuri ones are nice.

How about listing them all for me? I have a friend who's a CLAMP crack head, maybe she can fill me in on what's canon and what's not. She did meet them before.

Damn, I know all of these. O_o; Most of them were pure speculation! Kaede Saito x Sai Jounouchi is pure canon. <3 I'm biased like that. Absolutely ADORE Angelic Layer. Shorter than Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, yet more meaningful. No comparison.

ahhh my first Anime with yuri in it would have to be sailormoon although it took me awhile to figure out they werent actually cousins, Damn AMERICAN CENSORING!!! my first manga was also sailormoon minako

That's why I always watche subbed animes. If they are dubbed I will look for the subbed version and if not well unless I really really want to watch it (mainly all of them...) then I probably will let it go.

*_* Me too! Angelic Layer is a brilliant concept! Fighting dolls using your brain waves and at times, human emotions! It's much better than Beyblade, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh or any of that horse shit that kids watch. Kaede and Sai were canon way before the events of the series, so that's already taken care of~ I should dedicate a thread to them, because there is a lot to say and share. *pencils*
