Pieta - Manga
Well, well, well.... Here I am about to do a Yuri recommendation.
This is manga that I came across thanks to a fanfiction. It was based most of it on this manga that goes by the title of PIETA.
Pieta was created by Nanae Haruno.
The plot is basically a girl called Rio that has attempted suicide many times becuase her family simply despises her, specially her stepmother. She meets a classmate named Sahoko. The two soon create a special friendship and Sahoko helps Rio with all the struggle she had to suffer alone most of the time.
I read this manga a while back, but I can say that it was awesomely developed. You come to care and love the two girls too much that you simply want to hug Rio and shake Sahoko's hand thanking her for everything. Also believe me when you came to hate the bitch of a stepmother. You just want to put your fist across the monitor or the paper or whereever you are reading it...
I can certainly said it was a rollercoaster of emotions for me.
Probably I wouldn't recommend it to those readers that may a bit too weak of heart, specially with topics like suicide and the sort.
But, if you think you can handle it, it's a manga very well done.
Now, the art. I really liked the simplicity of it, mostly the backgrounds, there's not too much detail on them which allows you to focus more in the characters themselves.
The main characters look nice and are very likeable. (IMO)
This has been translated already by lililicious and you can read it at mangafox or probably any other site where you can read manga online.
If you want a bit of drama, this may be your cup of tea. :3

Re: Pieta - Manga
I've read this a long time ago... and by long, i mean during my high school days. Yes... long >.>;;
In any case, it's but a vague recollection to me now. I remember thinking it was quite good and liking the relationship between the two main characters, but that's about it. Mayhaps I'll give it a re-read one of these days and do a proper review.
...if i remember.

I just read this and I would have to agree with your sumary i found it enjoyable but it left you feeling like it was a dream where you are trying to see the details and they slip away like eather
Re: Pieta - Manga
Never thought of it that way.
Maybe it is just me but I put a lot of attention to the details and everything to try to understand it better.

Yeah, I read it a long time ago.
I remember it let me a really big impression.
The connection between the two main characters is so deep... It's not something I can describe with only words.

Unfortunate !
I already read it :3.
What a pity !
I was just hoping it would be another fanfic, but it seems Unfortunate is the best ^^.
I read it many times, I read many fanfics, but this one still remains my favourite.
I didn't know it was based in this manga. Even if I always though there were similarities :D .
N.B : You're not obliged to call me by the full 'name'. I know it's quite ennoying to make the '~'. So, call me as you want :3.
